Thank you!! Yes, swing with real instruments is a thing that you learn to do with time, but after years i can say it comes natural when i play guitar. When you need to write midi notes on the piano would take ages to do it without the swing function 😅

Great videos , i think this is how the fuse London guys make their tracks so groovy really noticed the difference with the hi hats and snare rolls, lately been enjoying this longer videos. The only thing that i didn’t get is how do u know when u have applied the groove bc in 8:20 u put the groove to the 808 drum rack but later on u click the commit button at 13:52? Is it the same thing when u add it to drum rack or just click the commit button?
Hey! Thanks for your comment! Groove is applied when you drag and drop it on the midi clip and it does the work in the background. The "commit" function "writes" the groove in the midi clip. It means that it moves the beats to the position decided by the groove and "writes" the velocity information. So now the groove disappear from the drop-down menu. It the same as resampling a track with a lot of effects so now the effects are recorded as audio and you can switch them off! I hope it's clear now 😉

@@thefolks3489 by default it affects the volume when you are using sampler or simpler but if you take a look there's a vel>vol option
