Every time I listen to this song I play Rainy Mood in the background and it gives me this "last survivor in an apocalyptic world" vibe. Very beautiful, but very lonely.
The EP this song is from is called Stories We Tell. It's very much meant to be a feeling of loneliness all the way through. The idea that we all wake up and paint on these smiles for society sake for one reason or another. For some the paint may only cover something small, but for others it can cover everything. It's a very lonely feeling, despite being surrounded by people.
