I just got into the 350 world and the cmmg mags aren’t really any more reliable. I had three of those 10 round p mags and filed down that rib on both sides and they work flawlessly now. The cmmg mag cost me 24.00 dollars and I got these 3 p mags for that price at a gun show
Seems to me BBB got it right,I had the same issue with my AR 350 and followed what he said and it made a big diffrence. No more shaved soft tips or dented brass. Just a thought from Cincinnati!!
I've heard that 350 legend will not feed reliably out of a 223 magazine but would they feed out of a 762x39 magazine not the longer ones but the shorter 10 rounders
The 35 round 5.56 Torkmags have been working flawlessly for me, no modification is required that I've experienced, these mags are durable and don't have the annoying ribs in them so the 350 seats great and feeds great
The problem is the 350 legend when stacked on top of each other does not give the right amount of curve for it to feed properly. I personally think they should have made a belted cartridge to give it a bit of a curve. your opinion?
Nope, just need to get proper mags made for 350. I run 20-round CMMG mags made for 350 and have zero feed issues. You can cut or file the 2 ribs out of P-Mags and make them work if you really want more than 20 round capacity and that works too.
I didn’t make it out for Ohio deer season due to my 350 legend not feeding a single round. C products mags, nope. Cmmg mags, nope. Modified pmags, nope. Polished feed Ramps, nope. Sent the upper back to bear creek and they claimed they polished it more and tested fired. Got it back, and not a single round will chamber with any 350 rounds, 124fmj, 147fmj, 165 grain ftx, 180 grain etc. so I have a single shot ar 15 that I have to load a round into the chamber to be able to shoot it....
100% same story. Just ordered a mag from ASC, and we will see. They even replaced my Dad's upper complete and still not feeding. CMMG and Duramag won't even load one in the chamber. Tried a different lower, BCG, buffer/spring. I may have to give him his money back so he can buy a bolt action rifle (I built this for him....so maybe for myself at this point).
I have had nothing but issues with my 350 upper from BCA. They repaired the original 2x, then replaced it with the same issue....FTF. I tried 2x new complete fully functional lowers, 2x fully functional BCG, 5 different mags from 4 different manufacturers and even used the same ammo and mags they recommend. I asked for a refund and they charged me a restocking fee. A complete joke. They had the upper(s) for a longer time than I did. I have a 300 BLK upper from them and it works great, but I wont purchase from them again. Please be wary on the 350 caliber from them. YMMV, but i got screwed. I built this for my Dad, a retired Army Vietnam Vet on a fixed income for a hunting rifle.
It’s not just bear creek. I build my own from scratch and it has zero BCA parts and I have the same issue A lot of it comes from the mags and some from the way the upper and barrel fit is Check for a step where the barrel and the. Upper meet.
Hey I am also from Ohio amd I am having this problem as well, I’m getting ready for a hog hunt, would you by chance get a hold of me so I can try and figure this out??
@@SR-wz2iv it’s weird how something will work in one gun fine and in another causes all kinds of problems. The mag I cut has worked flawlessly for me though.
I have the 350 legend specific 10 round Duramags and they fed the Winchester 180 gr rounds fine with no issues. I switched to Hornady 170 gr and get miss feeds every 2 or 3 rounds. I just ordered 2 of the WC 15 rounds mags that they made out of 300 blackout mags which are also polymer and hoping that resolves the problem. If it doesn't, I'll send the upper back to have looked at after the season which starts this weekend here in Iowa.
@@jaxonmanning712 What ammo are you having issues with what I found looking at the 350 legend is the col of the bullets can have a issue as the 350 was not specially design for the ar system issues are more possible. The 145 grain Winchester is right at the length where issues are probably most likely to start the 150 grain are longer with even more issues the 180 grain Winchester ammo is actually shorter and feeds the best from my experiences so far. The ar was originally design for the m193 length bullet the m4 feed ramp was to correct similar issues when they went to the m855 which is longer and the Winchester 150 grain bullet is same length as m855 so on theory with a m4 feed ramp it should feed right well the case is also a few thousandths fatter and I believe the combination of the two creat the bad feed angle people often have. A smoother chamber can aid with over coming the issue some along with a stiff buffer to push past. But over all for the ar15 think a shorter col would help the most.
Yeah man, CMMG and C products produced a specially designed magazine for 350 Leg. You can get em in 5, 10, and 20 rounds at this time. I wouldn't mess around with wrecking a good AR Pmag
Unfortunately I am having the same problems and I have tried the cmmg mags. It’s due to the shape of the mags, the spring doesn’t push uniform on the follower. I am probably going to do this same thing to a pmag.
They do have an anti tilt follower, but they are garbage. The legs on the followers are very long. But they have problems do to the very slick but unnatural shape of the mags. The spring tension doesn’t push uniform on the followers, causing the cartridge to tilt up at a hard angle, and it miss feeds. Sometimes it looks like it fed, half way through the charge the bolt has lost to much energy and didn’t charge forward all the way, and it give a very light strike.
Midway USA, Ruger, CMMG, and maybe few others are making / selling the .350 Legend specific magazines, in 5, 10, and 20 round counts. These have a special flat loading, magazine follower, and straighter designed feed lips. All designed for the flat walled cartridges! They are metal and even stamped ".350 Legend". They cost about the same as a regular P-Mag. And then you don't have any feeding issues, or have to "Jerry Rig" a good P-Mag, hoping it works, and you didn't F@#k it up! Just buy the right magazines, and be done! If you need more than 20 rounds, while hog hunting, just reload. And learn to aim better.
Same here.. I've used cmmg, duramag and Wilson Combat and everyone of them have problems. I even had my feed lips polished by a gunsmith... all the mags are junk.
I tried a Duramag and I'm having issues. I watched another vid hear on you tube and the youtuber fixed it with a magpull anti-tilt follower. I have a few other brands of mags to try.

Trust me. Just spent 8 hrs solving this and swapping parts. A light buffer spring is all it takes.

Polish the feed ramp, and buy a Wilson's combat magazine
How many rounds of .350 fit in the modded 10 round 556 p mags
Their the same size case, so 10 should fit.
Case is hair bigger so maybe 10 maybe 9 but be better off getting a cmmg mag.
What suppressor size is 350 legend? 9mm?
Yes same size as a 9mm
@@kyledean6466 right on. I’ve been looking to get one but wasn’t sure what size lol,
Bullet diameter is .355 so not listen to anyone telling you it’s .357 as advertised because it isn’t.
I reload and trust me it’s .355 or 9mm

Not a good explanation of what you cut away from the magazine. Show a before/after pic
Lot of work just to get it to work properly👎. I think these manufacturers need to get back to redesigning to fix issue(s)
How is it the manufacturer's fault when someone is trying to run 350 cartridges in a 5.56 magazine? Buy the proper magazine!
