Such an underrated band. They should be much bigger than they are!
Alex Bent is literally one of the best drummers in the world
The drummer is Alex Bent. He played live with big bands like Testament. The drum god Gene Hoglan is a huuuge fan of Alex. I'm glad that he joined the band because he brings frech air in the band. The older drummers were good but not on Alex level. This guy is an Octopus. I heard this song the first time in 2017. I knew they had a new drummer but you never heard a song with him with Trivium. I heard the song and I thought: Yeah they should take this guy.The drumming was special because of the skills and his tom work.He has a unique style.Saw them live 2 times. He plays the older songs much better than the older trivium drummers. I think that says a lot, too. Check out their songs In the Court of the dragon and The Catastrophist. Great voice and you will love the drumming.
Never seen a drummer more laid back. He doesnât even seem to be working hard but thatâs such an illusion.
Definitely one of the greatest metal bands of our era. I would argue that the Shogun Album will go down as one of the greatest metal albums ever and the track Shogun itself...stands in league in terms of composition and artistry with the greatest music composers in history.
Definitely check out more TriviumðĪeverything they do is fantastic
I will subscribe just because you reacted to TriviumâĪïļâĪïļâĪïļâĪïļ.ðĪðĪðĪðĪ
until the world goes cold was one of my favourites
Great band & song but you need to turn their audio up
No I don't the content is me bud. If you want to hear the song so bad go listen to it without a reaction attached.
Check out DragonForce Through the Fire and Flames you can hear Out of the world lead guitar solo.
my favourite trivium
Trivium are just some damn good songwriters. They have lighter stuff and they have real heavy stuff.
Based on your taste, I think you'd have a good time going through some of their music
I love this band so much
If you like the drums watch - Sever The Hand - Alex Bent Drum playthrough (Alex Bent is the drummer for Trivium, Sever The Hand is also off this album) Probably some of the best drums out of all their songs
Awesome!! Great reaction! I love Trivium.
I highly recommend you to react to Trivium - Caustic Are The Ties That Bind (the studio album version, not live). It's, imo, one of their most underrated songs and my favorite Trivium one. I think you could like that one a lot. ð
Thank you so much for reacting to this song. Trivium is a too notch band that in recent years have been releasing masterclass records one after another.
Glad you enjoyed and hope to see more of them here soon
The next song from them you should check out is In the court of the dragon! Or Until the world goes cold
Trivium have always been awesome, but the last 3 albums have been insane.
Dark Divine - Halloweentown and The Fear please ð
more trivium!
Every era of Trivium offers something great musically
The first time I heard of Trivium was when they dropped the music video to their song called Silence in the Snow, it just randomly popped up on my recommended feed so I checked it out and since then they have become my favourite band. They love what they are doing and they love their fans. The singer Matt Heafy has been streaming on twitch for like 5 years almost every single day whether he is home between tours or if they are on tour. In fact thy are on tour right now and they are streaming every single show of theirs live for free + the warmups befor the shows and everything. Beside Matt, Alex the drummer and Paolo the basist also stream regurarly on twitch but only between tours.
Matt Heafy the singer/guitar player is a huge twitch gamer/streamer, you should check him out.
Unfortunately doesn't play games very often anymore but hopefully he does
React to holy diver by Killswitch engage
Am I crazy or has the volume of the music been way lower in your most recent videos? Kind of hard to hear in some cases.
Great reaction. Trivium are awesome.
I dont know if it was just me or not but the sound in the song was quite low compared to your voice which made it harder to listen too
Other than that great video.
These guys kick ass in concert
Alex (The drummer) is a beast. This song was on their 2017 album, which was Alexâs first album with the band. The band mentioned that he walked in the studio and nailed many of the songs on the first try, including this one. Itâs already rare enough to nail a song on the first go but to nail a song that is this complicated is unheard of. Heâs definitely one of my favourite drummers and heâs an absolute monster.
you think this is complicated? you need to listen to dream theater bro if this is complex i cant wait to see what you say when you listen to a couple dream theater albums.. this is just simple measures if you can isolate the instruments. its repetative chords. (which bang hard btw)

"Pfff, you think this is complex ðĪ? I think you'll find that MY favourite drummer from MY favourite band is MIIIIIIIILES better than this preschool level play ðĪĢ. How about you listen to a REAL MAN play the drums for once ð"
That's you, that's how you come across.
@@deathninja16Iâm assuming the word he was trying to express was the genuine speed, of which Alex would need to be in the conversation of being one of the GOATS. I argue that Travis was better at the art though, since drumming isnât all about speed. He was the drummer for Shogun, In Waves and Vengeance Falls. And I think his work displays that heâs a true prodigy at making beautiful drumming foundations and flowering and painting that foundation with creative intervals.
Itâs not a matter of saying âwhoâs the best,â that is ultimately going to be subjective on which groups and individuals in the groups you like listening to more. But I personally like Travis the most.
My favorite band, ðĨđ
Trivium is kind of like Iron Maiden in the fact that they are immensely respected within the metal scene, and somehow neither of them feel as popular as they should be when compared to their album sales
Shogun the song is their masterpiece. ð
If you love a good guitar solo, Trivium has tons of them!
The best solo guitar Avenged Sevenfold - Buried alive & Hail to the king
Nah, Not Ready To Die, The Stage and Exist have better solos. But they're only the Avenged ones. Unfortunately they don't come close to Trivium ones
Definitely check out their earlier stuff too: Pull Harder on the Strings of your Martyr, Kirisute Gomen, Ember to Inferno
Check out "Ultima Hypocrita" by Mental Cruelty featuring Yo Onityan
There's so many bangers by Trivium, you'll love more of their music.
Trivium is ridiculously great. They are one of the pioneers carrying metal into the future but somehow somewhat under the radar. Their drummer is a friggin octopus, people cannot drum that quickly with only four apendages! I heard an interview with him once, and he is like a total drum nerd. He watches styles of everyone from metal drummers to jazz drummers from the 50s, he can't get enough of drum knowledge. My daughter is taking drum lessons now, and I'm crossing my fingers she is 1/10th as talented as he is when she is fully taught. ð They have a lot of really good songs. I would also recommend "Beyond Oblivion", "Silence In The Snow" and the largely overlooked but awesome "Villainy Thrives"
The funny thing is that their current drummer is their second octopus drummer! Travis Barker, the OG drummer was the gold standard that nobody could surpass before they got the "Ice cream man" Alex Bent for this album ( The Sin and The Sentence)..
And basically the entire In Waves album including the title track, they still play that live to this day
â @@riesa85Itâs arguable who is better too. I think itâs safe to say Alex has the edge in pure speed capabilities. But speed isnât everything in drumming, so I would almost argue that Travis may be the better prodigy at the art of drumming, considering it was his work on the Shogun album (their Mona Lisa IMO though the Sin and the Sentence is also a masterclass album)
Trivium is pretty good. Another song I'd suggest is The Phalanx, it's their top single from their newest album
i would also recommend Shogun
Pretty sure The Shadow Of The Abattoir is their top rated song from In the court of the dragon but The Phalanx is alright as well
Heck yaaa!!! So glad you liked it! They have been a favourite of mine for years was VERY hard to pick a song for you to react to!
Tony knows his shit. Ton, if youâre here, let me know what your favorite album is and gimme your top 5 songs.
Trivium fuck hard. Theyâre dedicated to the grind. Alex Bent is the drummer and seems everyone who has heard him is smitten with his work. God... I forgot how fucking awesome TSATS (the whole album) is.
OMG AND LISTEN TO DANCE GAVIN DANCE!!!!!
U GOTTA LISTEN TO IN WAVES BY TRIVIUM!!!!
