Sofi unfortunately didn't work for me I guess I don't have a high enough credit score. I forgot about the hard pull.
As for the mosquitoes buy a 10 oz., spray bottle, add fresh lemon juice, clove oil and water. Spray it on everything accept the floor.
The cell phone can work with a local SIM card and used in the WIFI places and spaces.

@@dbrown5443 No, I didn't get the charger, because I got a solar powered radio from Amazon, that can also charge your phone.
You guys going to get used to the mosquito it's like the Caribbean just get mosquito nets around the house outside the windows or inside because you going to run out of mosquito spray !
Garlic works wonders. I would take garlic pills or raw garlic to deter mosquitoes and ticks. You can make a spray with garlic to spray around your property. I believe there are garlic sprays on the market.
@@abiyah3176 it don't matter about mosquito garlic spray or no garlic spray you have to live with it it's the life if you can't deal with it then you are weak you have to put mosquito nets around your windows simple as that we know if you never live in Africa are the tropics you know nothing about it facts ya dig

If one is to travel anywhere it's always to be educated and prepared about host country so the info given is very general everyday moments. A phone will be unlock easy and still to buy very cheap in TZ, money is important to have at all costs and automatically open an account if planning a long stay and so on so nothing to be worried sick over just be cautious all the time for your security however TZ agree is a beautiful place with peaceful people. Good luck all the same you made a brave move and good choice of location!

Try using coconut oil for the mosquitoes, it works well here in the US.

The google phone tip was nice. We were thinking of getting an Apple phone as well before we came (next year after I deliver). Now we know, that isn't a good idea.
Also, if you don't feel its too invasive, can you do like a child interview on how your lil ones are adjusting? Or even just tell us the little nuisances about their acclimation?
Furthermore, do you two know of any expats who brought their vehicle over? We REALLY want to bring ours because we need a large SUV. We have looked on ZOOM TZ and its waaaaaaay out of pocket there for anything even remotely comparable to what our family needs.
Best bet is to buy one here. They will charge you for shipping it, and they charge you for having your steering wheel on the left side.
what kind of SUV and model year is it? there's a government portal that you can check how much exactly you will be charged for it at the port.

Power outage maybe be bad in TZ, but countries like Kenya has great constant power supply...only problem is, Kenya is too expensive for diasporas who wanna move there, if you don't have a good Job or business to get into
They aren’t too bad in our area. It may go out once a week for 30 mins or a few hours. That’s about it though. I thought it would be worse.

Great Information!!!!!. I paid NOTHING to have my phone unlocked. If you've had your phone for a few years and it's paid for (I have a Samsung Galaxy S9) your carrier may unlock your phone free of charge. Please call your carrier First, it may save you some bucks.

people should be buying unlocked phones anyway. there are lots of phones you can buy unlocked. a google (pixel) phone is not 1000k - there are different models. samsung, one+, moto...all sell unlocked phones. i haven't bought a locked phone in 10 years.
