Azure Firewall is a cloud-native and intelligent network firewall security service that provides the best of breed threat protection for your cloud workloads running in Azure. It's a fully stateful, firewall as a service with built-in high availability and unrestricted cloud scalability. It provides both east-west and north-south traffic inspection.
Azure Firewall Standard provides L3-L7 filtering and threat intelligence feeds directly from Microsoft Cyber Security. Threat intelligence-based filtering can alert and deny traffic from/to known malicious IP addresses and domains which are updated in real time to protect against new and emerging attacks.
Azure Firewall Premium provides advanced capabilities include signature-based IDPS to allow rapid detection of attacks by looking for specific patterns. These patterns can include byte sequences in network traffic, or known malicious instruction sequences used by malware. There are more than 58,000 signatures in over 50 categories which are updated in real time to protect against new and emerging exploits. The exploit categories include malware, phishing, coin mining, and Trojan attacks.
You can use Azure Firewall Manager to centrally manage Azure Firewalls across multiple subscriptions. Firewall Manager leverages firewall policy to apply a common set of network/application rules and configuration to the firewalls in your tenant.
Firewall Manager supports firewalls in both VNet and Virtual WANs (Secure Virtual Hub) environments. Secure Virtual Hubs use the Virtual WAN route automation solution to simplify routing traffic to the firewall with a few clicks.

I'm working on this task currently .Can i get help how to test it properly (egress rules ) for AKS cluster .I'm confusing so much how to test firewalls working or not

To test egress rules for an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cluster in Azure, you can use a few different methods. Here are some steps you can follow:
Create a test pod: You can create a test pod in your AKS cluster and use it to initiate outbound network traffic to various destinations. You can use the kubectl run command to create the test pod.
Verify network connectivity: You can use the kubectl exec command to access the test pod and run network connectivity tests, such as pinging a remote host or using curl to access a web page. This will allow you to verify that the test pod is able to reach the desired destinations.
Check firewall rules: You can use the Azure portal or the Azure CLI to check the firewall rules associated with your AKS cluster's virtual network to verify that the correct egress rules are in place. You can also use Azure CLI to inspect the firewall logs to see if any packets are being blocked by the firewall.
Validate firewall rules: If you find that the firewall rules are not working as expected, you can modify the rules and run additional tests to validate the changes.
Monitor network traffic: You can use Azure Monitor for containers to monitor the network traffic for your AKS cluster. This will allow you to see if there are any network anomalies, such as high network latency or high packet loss, that may indicate a network connectivity issue.
These steps should give you a good starting point for testing egress rules for your AKS cluster. However, the exact steps and tools you'll need to use may vary depending on your specific requirements and environment.
      I hope this helps

      Good Day,
Thank you I am glad you liked the video,
No, Azure's Web Application Firewall (WAF) is not designed to protect individual operating systems like Windows 10.
      I hope this helps
      Thank you

      Hi Vinod,
I agree the configurations have been deployed before, but video was made with aim to show the process of creating firewall and I did showed how configurations have been deployed before.
      Thanks!!

Watched the video now. Bit difficult to understand when you show things which are already created. Video was bit fast too.

      Good Day Manu M Nair,
I apologize for any confusion caused by the previous video. During that time, I followed lab instructions and created the videos. To save time, I would pre-create the resources beforehand. If I encountered any errors during the resource creation process, I would make a note in the video to highlight potential areas of difficulty.
Here is the link to the latest video. Please let me know if you were able to understand it.

      Good Day,
I've produced these videos based on the GitHub labs and followed all the outlined procedures. The primary purpose behind crafting these videos is to demonstrate the firewall creation process as per the labs. For additional details, please refer to the most recent playlist. If you're seeking more in-depth theoretical insights, you can explore my Medium channel. Sorry again for the confusion.

buddy you can go a little slow. At least list down the IPs in a notepad and label them so that you can explain the rules and all that you created.
