He knows that Gohan's hidden potential is what can save existence. We grew up with Gohan as he was a baby. I just thought it was epic that Goku passes the torch and Gohan surpasses even his own father (albeit he gets a little motivational help from dad towards the end) to end Cell's reign of terror.

When you're just a kid watching DBZ you just want it to never end. But going back and rewatching most of it at 18 I can honestly say I felt like the Buu saga dragged the series on. Gave the series a less epic ending then it would have had if it ended after Cell. At the end of the Buu saga Goku blows Buu's ass away with the Spirit Bomb. This was like ending the series on a fart. We've seen Goku do this in nearly identical manner about 200 other times. It was nothing new or surprising.
I always love it when I click on a "DBZ" movie and I see a scene from GT. ~sarcasm~ And before you say "if you don't like GT, then don't watch the video", I didn't. I saw Pan, paused it, wrote down this comment, and left. And I shouldn't have to look at the tags before I watch a video. It should be labeled DBZ/GT in the title. But this is pretty old, and oh well. Just needed to rant. Even if I didn't dislike GT, I'd have problem with it.
I thought that Goku accepting defeat from Cell and passing the torch on to Gohan was one of the if not the most epic moment in the series. All the viewers. We didn't know how Goku was going to beat Cell but we KNEW it'd be GOKU to defeat him! Instead Goku realizes that even he, the man who stopped Vegeta and defeated Frieza could not do anything but accept defeat.
the last second kinda killed it. it would've been fine if you let gohan finish his one-handed kamehameha and have the song end on the closeup of his face screaming.
I really liked the video, especially between the whole teen gohan and his future daughter theme but it would have been a better ending if you would have shown gohan unleash his full power after cell got distracted in the kamehameha duel, and show cell being destroyed. other than that, its a great amv!
Also, he didn't really create the DBGT universe that had Pan in it more. He just sort of... was there I guess lol. Imagine for a moment how SSJ 3 Raditz would look.. I mean his hair already long..
