I have to tell you guys. I finally broke down & bought both the lift kit for my Honda EU 7000is & The Spitz Lift pick up truck crane. You guys were the ones that opened my eyes to The Spitz Lift crane. I always wanted a better solution to the premium folding aluminum ramps I previously bought. Especially with lifting the generator which doesn’t have any means of being self propelled or my pressure washer. I want to thank you both for enlightening me to what’s available out there? I hope both of you are well & still friends? Best regards.
@@AirstreamMTB I gave a plug to Spitz Lift when I ordered mine incase you were on commission? LOL! I’m sort of serious though because unless I saw your video I wouldn’t have ever heard of them before? Thank you again!
Many thanks, I have learnt so much watching your tutorials, first on the fuel pump relpacement and now the spitz lifting arm, I took delivery yesterday of an indentical generator and had to use a trailer winch and ramps to get the unit off the trailer deck and safely onto the garage floor, appreciate you both for generously sharing your knowledge, Best wishes KPPnz
Being able to lift things seamlessly into your truck or van with the Spitzlift is a huge blessing. I love the fact that they’re an American made product! Great video guys!!!
Nice video, this lift is perfect! Comes in handy, I can’t be lifting my 100 pound generator at my age. My son won’t be around to help all the time. Thanks!
You are welcome. Glad i was able to help in something. Looks great i love it. Am sitting in a hospital right now when i saw this video i just had a babe girl woot woot. Sorry just wanted to share my happyness. :)
I like the handle kit - I'll get one for sure. My tractor with front loader rigged with chain/hook wrapped around the bucket is a good way to lift and transport the generator around my property. Way less fiddly than a SpitzLift plus pickup.
It's still looks like a lot of work... carrying those heavy bulky pieces around to put it together... However... it appears to work great once assembled..
I like that lift setup. I could get used to that in my tool collection for my truck. Could you tell us more about the lift. Make a video of it. How many pounds it is rated for to lift. Where can you purchase one.
Pretty neat but I use winch lift straps, 3,000 pound capacity and I believe they cost about $12 @ Amazon and for winch I use a Warn Pullzall. Portable and 1,000 pound capacity. If you modify that hoist with a small 12 volt winch, life will be a lot easier.
292? Ours is closer to 350 lbs full of fuel. I would be using my engine crane to hoist that into a truck bed. It's also cheaper, since the SpitzLift is over $2000.
I found if you slide the lift bracket in towards one side near the back it goes all the way through so you can move it back over under the other side. At least it worked on my eu6500
I tried moving my Honda generator up the ramp on my toy hauler...nearly made it to the hospital....I guess you then have load all that stuff with you when you go camping..maybe I can come up with another idea.
can i use this (Honda generator diesel eu7000is) for desktop computer (500W, 240V, 4A, or above) with no problem? if there's problem, what solution/s? using a AVR or something? ... .
You can't lift that? Eat more WHEATIES SON! 😁 Damn, that's a BEAST of a gen. Nice crane and appreciate the video. Better the assist than walking around like I am now at 50 like I'm 80 from lifting to heavy loads. Be smart guys it DOES catch up to you. Believe it coming from a guy who's back is shot.

I worked for the company for 5 years and have talked to people who’ve had their Spitzlift for close to 20 years. The quality of the high grade aluminum is phenomenal but extruded aluminum is expensive. Having a great tool made in the USA 🇺🇸 priceless
Wouldn't bet on it. When I was stationed in South Korea, there was a story about a deuce and a half leaving the motor pool with a 10K generator in the back , and by time he made it to the front gate, slicky boy had stolen the generator from the truck.
How were you getting that gadget in the truck before? I am looking at the same Generator for a similiar Airstream we are contemplating. A 33 FB. Yours looks like it is a 30'? I was thinking of ordering the truck with stowable Ramps and using a come-along to bring it up the ramp.

This is a really great point. We try to make videos that are authentic, mostly reflecting how people would go about this kind of thing in their own lives, but that video doesn't show good safety. We'll do better in the future.

nice sandals for loading heavy shed in the truck
Would a ramp be a cheaper option?
Yes. This lift is about $1400. Almost anything is cheaper than this.
That hanger lift kit is very nice and good video and presentation. Can you provide the center to center dimension of your generators top frame bars?

I pick my eu7000 up by hand and load it on my sons f350 it’s heavy but im 60 now and things feel much heavier to me now

Yes, I have been running my Airstream for five years with this unit and multiple PCs + monitors inside the trailer with no issues.
This should be standard on a high quality generator.......

My wife can pick that up by herself. She’s at the gym right now.
Could you pick it up by yourself

What is the distance between the bars
I was going to leave a comment but then decided against it.
I guess the good thing about a 270lb generator is that noone is going to steal it out of the back of your truck.
In that case they will just take your whole truck with it..lol

Two guys can’t pick that up?? Give me a break. The specs say it weighs 262 pounds. What a joke.
