Hi Paul & Adam, what a lovely Escort, beautifully restored condition. Brilliant addition to your "fleet" Paul, with excellent history too., great video guy's, really enjoyed it, thanks for making it Adam and thanks for sharing the car with us Paul. Got to say Paul, that toolbox..incredible..!!! Alex.
Love seeing all these original old cars from when i was a kid Loved watching all these cars in the touring cars 😎 They really are more than “just” a car, they hold our motorsport history within them, the drivers, the tracks, everything Love it 👌🏻👍🏻
Sweet fan boy moment. Remember these racing in period (was friends with my dad 😃) Richard brought the non race version to my local school fete as he lived up the road. He’s still going but age is taking its toll. His Son Michael has taken on Longman Racing now, still down in Christchurch.
A jaw dropping motor. Hats off for guy that did the refurb ❤.. It's nice to know that Paul is human and not up to all of the details regarding this /these cars. Gr8 to hear the Hmm and Hmm's when questioned. Definitely get the original drivers to sign any part of this historical motor. Keep up the Gr8 content 👍
Hi Adam and Paul, Congratulations Paul on your new purchase looks and sounds sweet, she's a Minta. Thanks as always for sharing your cars. Cheers Romano Palm Beach Florida
Always loved these, the livery is iconic, hopefully see it up close at a show soon and nice to see it back in the U.K. Still up for doing a video of my Sierra, think we spoke about it a while ago via fb, its unfortunately had to get a load of unplanned engine work but hopefully ready later this year.
Well the person that sold that car here in nz is a Masterclass in restorations and the metal that’s passed through that family is nothing short of epic.
Very true word's from Paul - if you look at the Ferrari 250 GTO'S in period they are mostly cobbled together , temporary repairs etc after various smashes of all kinds of description! Now they're one of the most valuable cars in the world...
Always look forward to thease videos with you and Paul talking about the cars history etc just wish had the money to Buy more cars had few old skool fords over the year u could literally buy half of them for hundreds now there out of reach to us mere mortals lol 1000 n 1000s now must say love my st150 closest you can get to xr2 yes had one of those aswell alone with the rs series 1 sold both worth big money now future classic thou rs mk1 and mk2 rs will basically replace the rs 500 in status in 20yrs hold the ere money now so who knows only way is up keep up the good work lads Old Ford’s never die they just get faster ✊🏻🫡😎👍🏻
What a stunning escort. I always wanted the rs 1600i. Ive shifted now to audi cars but adore the old fords. My rs 2000 got stolen. And i got me a real nice xr3i,with origanal cozzy alloys. That got stolen also. 😢. ❤
It won’t be running the original ECU (ignition module) with being on dizzy. Be curious if has gearbox sensor lead or any of the 16i wiring under the bonnet (again I’m guessing not as can’t see the 16i grommet) easy enough to put onto twin coils if that was wanted.
Why do you guy keep buying Australia and New Zealand race cars? Is it because those guys build the best race cars? I seem to remember you saying an Australian guy named Dick Johnson, built the world's fastest Ford Sierra RS500 Evo.
Fuel fillers may be different because one of them is filler the other one is vent valve. When you filling big amount of fuel in short time in to the tank you need to have a way to went equaly huge amount of pressure. If you want 10 galons of fuel in 5s you need to evacuate 10 galons of air in 5s somehow (kind off). They probably fitted additional tank filler on the side of the car just for filling it before race in more conventional way (without specialized race cans).
I only like MK2 2.8 granadas ghia ghia x thats all id have .im not interested in this red xr3 whats he leaning on in black now i have interest in that .
Adam cant you think if doing ur own content?? Paul did a feature on this car several weeks ago, and all u have done is repeat nearly word for word the same thing.. its like watching repeats of corrie.. mind u im surprised Paul wasted half an hour repeating himself. 🙈🙈
I don't know what's more impressive, the cars in the foreground, or that bad ass snap on wall of tool boxes. that's outrageous
those wheels on the escort are amazing
Stunning car Paul, couldn’t focus on that box of spares for the blow up doll in the background 😂
😂😂😂😂
Paul when you have finished with the doll can i have it back please. missing her lots now.

i'd say the two rear fillers are different as one is a fill and one is a vent
Proper icon. Remember it in period. Fabulous
Lucky enough to see this today at Bangers and Cash live! Was hoping to see you there with Paul. My car of the day this, stunning
Hopefully will bring it to Ford Fair Silverstone on display 🤩 Adam you nearly jumped through the roof when that boot slammed haha I would of myself 😂
Brilliant bit of history 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Thank you adam and paul for bringing such wonderful content of such beautiful cars.

Paul must have a go on the hill climb at goodwood festival of speed 2025 in this car.
Had 2 stickers of these on my bedroom door as a kid - dad worked for Post Office. 👍
Would the hole at the rear towards the end of the video have been for if they ever installed the air jacks? Very cool car Paul 😎
Paul and Adam comedy sketch looking forward to the next episode
Absolutely gorgeous.
That hole in the boot would be for the hose adapter if they fitted the air jacks
What a motor just amazing 👏
Adam you did a video about 2 years ago on a copy one of these. On your other channel. Beautiful car.
Beautiful machine 👍
Damne that snap on box is meanthal behind the blokes
I'll say it again... So cool. What a thing! 😀 Amazing.
I swear i remember seeing this car as a kid somewhere
Amazing, Paul should read Jackanory car bedtime stories...
Seen it at Ruapuna circuit in NZ numerous times
What a stunning escort. I always wanted the rs 1600i. Ive shifted now to audi cars but adore the old fords. My rs 2000 got stolen. And i got me a real nice xr3i,with origanal cozzy alloys. That got stolen also. 😢. ❤

Just watched the 1983 btcc on TH-cam. Lovely motor
See Peter brocks vk commodore in the background of the website paul showed
A video on the snap on box next lol
Cracking car,Will it be at the NEC in November?
Im amazed it lived and raced in NZ , i lived there for 10 years and only ever saw a mk4 cabriolet. Sourcing spares for this must've been a nightmare .
My friends dad had a new S1 Escort Turbo that had been fettled by Richard Longman.

Were there not rumours or maybe I dreamt this, but it used to spin the wheels inside the tyre?
Tool box tour next please adam
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

2 fillers so one fills, the other vents on vaccum for quick fill.
Sounds much better than my b plate xr3i 😂
The snap on van comes to buy tools from paul lol
air jack point

I raced against this car in NZ, Auckland Car Club clubmans Pukekohe early 80s

💪🏽🇬🇧👍🏽
