I'd have cut the Gb loop to a long whole step like tubas use since it would give much much more in tune valve combinations, but I guess this works, and you get a sort of useful super sharp Bb with all valves down, at least. This doesn't do anything to address the really bad Eb on uncompensating horns, for example.
And a Thayer valve at that - I could see why that would be overly bulky and the rotor was chosen on the latest

can you still take the valves apart?
Actually, yes! The axial section is mounted with tabs and machine screws. No different than servicing the valves on a bass trombone.
