It still could easily become a series. Provided of course it is done right. There are those of us that appreciate a deeper dive into the gothic, the macabre and the occult. Showing new and even hidden parts of history are fascinating ideas. If we have learned nothing else from series like The X-Files, Millennium, Bates Motel and American Horror Story. It's this anything and everything in the world of any series can be made possible. Sometimes taking certain liberties with historical facts. Even going further with minor characters can be beneficial to the story.

I did not care for the film back in the day, but now I really love it. I think it is a very well made film overall and I really wish we could have gotten more on- screen stories with Bakula as Harry D'Amour.

I don't understand all the hate this movie gets. It is really, really something different, particularly for the time. It had almost a Cthulhu-like feel for most of it where Nix is a lurking, all-powerful force threatening to come back while his cultists work to restore him. And I found Nix to be a really interesting character. This incredibly-powerful wizard (for lack of a better word) appears like a middle-aged slob.

What I took from the character of Nix was...
I believe Nix was chosen by a very powerful, dark entity, and was given powers of a god. Once he saw the world through the eyes of a god, he saw humanity as shit and flesh. Once Nix was defeated, appropriately he wasn't truly dead, more like imprisoned to the grave. He learned the wisdom of the grave, and decided he was going to murder the world in the worst way possible.
Woah... talk about a great villain💀
I thought Lord Of Illusions was Clive Barker's best film.
