There is no way to make a game 100% hack free, the only thing you can do is to make it as hard as possible to discourage hack developers to create a working hack, and Vanguard is indeed a barrier very hard to overcome.
The high clearance doesn't matter so much. It's just like battleye, it's harder to fuck with for less tech savvy individuals (so your average 10 yr old won't have hacks), but all you need to do is kernel spoofing and walla, inject your hax.
@@acedia4454 yes but to an extent. I'd like to refer you to @someordinarygamers on yt who did a video explaining why this is a problem, and how it can be exploited. Root kits are dangerous either way, and to see hackers in the beta are scary to say the least. I do see your point tho

RifIe 1 wrong, it will be big until source 2 comes out. Valve only updates when it's truly needed. This is the only game it has competition with, but it's going to be interesting to see how these two compete over the years to come!

And sad. Bc a cheat got successful in beta, riot will patch valorant and put strong anti cheat like in league of legends. No one can hack that game for so long. Not even 1 game. You will start attempting to reconnect until you realize that your account has been permanent suspended. And once you continue it 3 times your ip and mac address will get permanent suspension too.

It's not that hard to get a valorant key farmer bot and change your ip and mac address, if it's a hwid thing, there's a spoofer for that, so cheaters can basically bypass their bans.

@Andres Carsana people always have a way of negating anti-cheats because of many flaws and bugs. And with the source code that is very much public, it would become easier to bypass the ac and maybe as would get as much cheaters in csgo because its also free

As a result the makers of the cheats just have to alter their program signature to obfuscate the purpose of the program. This sort of anticheat is meant to observe and determine who is a cheater based on the actions taken by the player and just ban their account. With enough training and data points, it'd be able to draw relations between mouse movements, player movements, and other aspects of behavior to determine whether someone is a cheater.

So this proves vanguard doesn’t need to always being running on my computer to help prevent cheaters. So remove that from the “anticheat.”
No it doesnt. It's an AI, so it has to l e a r n. The more data it collects on cheaters now, the better it will be at identifying cheaters when the game fully releases and it actually matters. Fucks me off seeing people complain about Vanguard running all the time, when they have no clue about how it works, and that tons of other anti-cheats also run at a kernel level.

Valve's VAC AI has been "learning" by taking information by every cheating player for years. Vanguard AI only just started and it's working better than VAC ever did.

Also, this is part of the closed beta right? more data for Vanguard to crunch through and learn. Riot also said that the security level was beign kept low to prevent false positives until they can learn more through testing

I would like to see some creative ways to deal with cheaters. Give us all counter cheats exclusively against the cheater. Render a bunch of fake characters on their screen to screw with their aimbots and wall hacks. Make us immune to damage from them. Make their ping 1000ms. Make their game worse than they could ever hope to make ours.
