    Got to Visit Blade HQ back in April. A great group of people. Very helpful. I like the knife. But I personally prefer a larger blade. But I get 100% why some enjoy the small knives for EDC.

    Spyderco is one of my favorites but I wish they would put deep carry pocket clips on more of their knives.

    Lucky to find a used Para 3 with deep carry clip, making this a great knife. Standard clip rides too high for me.

    After years of considering various Spydercos the Para3 is the one that pushed me over the edge. My only complaint is the shallow pocket clip. I'll be picking up an aftermarket deep carry clip to help the knife disappear in the pocket. Great knife aside from the clip.

    I have the Blurple Para-3 with a DLC S30V blade that I traded for on one of the Spyderco Facebook groups. It's great looking and there's probably not too many like it.

    Great vid!! Some of the popularity of the Para3 is the 3" blade. Many states don't allow for more than 3", so a perfect carry option for some.

    My Para 3 (original black with S30v) is coming in the mail this week. I found it used for $85.00 but it doesn't have a mark on it. I'm psyched to have one!

    my first knife was the orange dragonfly and I recently picked up the broken skull in od from cold steel because one it's a good knife and two who doesn't love stone cold lol. Para 3 and zt 450cf are the next two that I am pining for.

  • @thelonerider5644

    I prefer the pm2 in terms of use, in hand, and the slightly longer blade is more useful, but in terms of carrying it and wearing it, the para3 has an edge (pun intended). If you are wearing shorts or pants made out of thinner fabrics especially, like when hiking or biking, the size range of a Native5 or Para3 is about perfect. That said in jeans or work pants no noticeable diff. with the larger para2.
    Personally I like mine... but am wishing for one is s35nv... or the 110 (if I had $)

    I've seen pictures of the digicam one where the pattern in the example is mostly green and I really liked them. But with my luck if I ordered one I'd get one with a mostly tan handle and never be happy with it. I had to go with black.

  • @The96civicrider
    @The96civicrider 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love my para 3 but hated how shallow the pocket clip was so i didn't carry it much. i preferred my sage 5 because of how it was discrete and didn't show a quarter of the knife out of my pocket like the para 3 did. After getting the titanium lynch deep carry clip I've been carrying the knife most days in my weekly rotation and like it so much more.

    I had a para3 and used it for months. It is inferior to the pm2. The clip setup on the para 3 is bad. It needs a deep carry clip in order to be more secure in pocket.

    • @bigpoppa578

      koolaidnd that's just like...your opinion man.

    • @shadeshiest22
      @shadeshiest22 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      koolaidnd mine is plenty secure in the pocket... So much so I actually had to bend the clip out some so I could remove and secure the knife smoother.... I have other knives with the deepest of deep carry clips and don't really like them at all, find them pretty annoying actually but still bought and like them, I can change a pocket clip... don't know why people like deep pocket clips so much, I would never let a pocket clip become a major factor to determine a knife purchase, and never in my 20yrs of carrying a pocket clipped knife of any kind, have I EVER lost one in pocket or had one pop out and fall from pulling something from my pocket..... Why do you feel the pm3 is so inferior to the pm2 BTW? Just cause of the pocket clip? Really???

    Hey Shane, I just want you to know; I have always disliked Spyderco knives. Specifically because of the "Military" which was very unfriendly to the left handed population. Fast forward ------
    I saw your video on the "PM2" and I decided to check one out for myself. I bought the black on black version, and have been carrying it for over 2 years daily, never leave home without it! I now have it's little brother. Thanks for the suggestion, I have a feeling many others are in the same boat as me.

      weouchhere I recommend any fixed angle sharpener that has a good reputation. The Lansky controlled angle system is good for a lower price less than 50USD but I have heard the KME is a very good value for less than 200USD. Check out BirdshotIV and KnifeKrazy on TH-cam to see their results. Also get a strop (or an old leather belt) and some compound, I use the green variety.
