hey, im considering starting to run this game (since i really enjoyed it normally). out of curiosity, how does jumping make you faster compared to running in this game?
@@inkblot.s hey, you definitely should it’s pretty fun! I’d recommend joining the discord for this game, you can find the link on the speedrun.com page for Still Wakes the Deep. And jumping in general is just faster than your normal run speed, and jumping as soon as you hit the ground helps you maintain the speed. It doesn’t look like it’s that much faster but it actually is, saves a lot over the whole run

28:30 why the change in gamemode?
Standard difficulty saves some time in some levels based on how the enemies move but Story is faster for the late game levels for the same reason
