    Modern engines do not really have a break-in period. Older manufacturing methods left burrs and other irregularities that led to metal shavings being dislodged in the engine.

      How will you differentiate between modern and old engines ? Based on other people' s videos? I guess i will follow the company manual and my personal choice.

    You can set RPM blinkers to go off at 4.5k RPM. It is very useful to make sure you dont rev beyond the recommended range.

    Some people saying you should not cover long distances in break in period but I dont see this point in bike manual. Any idea?

    Hi , i had a question, recently i bought v strom yellow and i never crossed above 5 k rpm , but does being in lower rpm affects the engine or gearbox as well ? If for example i ride 40 speed in 4 gear already, i am in between 2.5-3.5 bar , is at fine for first 800-1000 kms ? Or it might damage engine or gearbox on lower rpm with higher gear ? Let me know , Also i got 35 mileage in last 3 days in city and little bit highway , never crossed 50-55 km speed yet , hopes that ok ? Let me know , thanks

    • @HELMETDUDE
      @HELMETDUDE  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i would suggest you to switch the gears at right time instead putting loads of exhaution or load on engine, so lets say when you cross 5-6k, just shift the gear, and try to avoid riding on lower gears like 1st or 2nd. Coming to your example, if you are at speed of lets say 30-40, then avoid switching to 4th gear and keep it in 3rd or below, only switch to 4th or higher when rps atleast reaches 4-6k rpm. Bottom line, just switch the gear at right time, how will you know? by riding daily and with experience.

    Do you agree that Suzuki should have given upside down suspension considering the price range?

    • @melmanoi2788
      @melmanoi2788 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, i have gixxer 250 and i feel they are just fine considering the price. The whole assembly is pretty light, very stable and already quite rigid. Even with the v storm, its not really a necessity. But its a personal choice

    • @sangamp6292

      in the long run upside down suspensions replacement would cost big buck. this is effective and low cost.

    • @HELMETDUDE

      must be facing in city or traffic, thats fine. in summer season its fine, this bike is meant for hgihways and you will observe that it will heat minimum on highway with higher speeds and maximum in shorter gears in city traffic.

    nah. running in k har tareeke har koi karta/batata hai. this one is not a very good running in procedure. riding inside city is a good way for the engine to be run-in and avoid highways so that the new engine doesnt sit at constatnt rpms for long. warna bike assemble hote hi mechanics assembly line se utar k engine ko redline karte hi hain. wo na karte agar galat hota to. dont baby the bike. that is bad for the engine. vary rpms and ride through all the gears. city streets is the best place for a new engine to be loaded at different rpms and gears and the piston rings get to see different temperatures and conditions while sealing in properly. ideally one would change engine oil multiple times in the running in period to wash away all the metal shavings but kaun karega itna sab
