Finally, glitch video effects that were created by someone who has actually seen/used a CRT monitor. Most of the stuff you see trying to emulate these effects these days are what someone would make if you told them about it, but they'd never actually experienced it for themselves. Close, but really not convincing. This, on the other hand, does it right.
Jim was that video you saw actually made by Adam Rutherford, British geneticist, BBC presenter and well-known 65dos fan? Maybe just showed up on nature?
I've known this band for about a decade. Never saw the video before but, surprisingly, this is exactly how my mind visualized it whenever I hear it. Crazy how music can make solid visualizations just trough sounds
theshadowsniper5 lol, i dont usually define bands or songs by genre, but i dont see whats wrong with people separating them either, tbh i cant really tell genres, cause if i like a song its because its unique and i cant categorise it, so i do understand where you are coming for
+emanmes 3000 I think every song as it's own genre in a way like for example imagine there is 9000 different sounds that you can use in a song but each song can only have 50 lets say not everyone will sound the same unless you copy it exactly
The video reminds me of nightmares I had as a child. Only difference was that I saw a kid's playground, but it was all distorted with black and white colours like in the video. It was nothing else but a playground, with a swing and whatnot. But I really hated that dream because of the visuals that I ''saw'', everything was black and white and everything was moving all the time. The playground wasn't moving, but it blinked black and white colours and lines were bending around and... it's quite hard to explain, but it was horrible for me as a kid. And it happened many times, same dream over and over again. But this song is awesome and I don't hate this video, because I've got over those nightmares.
I like that this LP came with a CD included, instead of a digital download link. Ripping the CD for digital files is easier than creating a CD from digital files (when you don't have a blank one handy)
Love their usage of noisy textures. Sounds to me like to kind of cosmic wind, pulling at your soul to disperse it into a foreign nebula. Kindoff induces a deep content with the inevitable cruelty of the universe within me. I know it sounds crazy ^^
I wonder if the hardcore fans of 65DOS are annoyed by us No Man's Sky enthusiasts clamping on to the greatness that is this band? I'm so glad they are doing the soundtrack for the game, these guys deserve all the fans! All of them!
I don't see how it would be annoying. If anything the fans should be happy that new audiences are discovering 65dos. My favourite band made the soundtrack for a film which was never released. I was disappointed for them that "Waterborne" would not be able to make more people aware of them (although dredg is a fairly popular band internationally).
Eh. It's pretty good I guess. It's some great atmospheric music for a game like no mans sky but I rather listen to RHCP while capturing trade convoys and murdering space pirates.
They were in Sibiu, Romania for a concert recently. When you here this music you will instantly love it, even if your not a post rock fan! Great music! Cheers!
It's way better than perfect. One of the most powerful and downy track I've ever heard. It hit you hard in da face with plushy hammer and crush your bones, squeezing you on a wall made of cloud. Just wow. Hard and soft at the same time QQ
This band is unstoppable!
The blue light obama fires in a central library
We will not retreat, this band is unstoppable!
not if you divide it by zero...
I wish I could lose my memory just to discover this piece of art everyday.
I absolutely agree with you :) As for many of my favorite songs btw
listen to it now bud
This may actually be the greatest piece of music I have ever experienced.
If this were 3 times longer, it would still be too short.

2:45 lift up, this band is unstoppable
I'm glad that some indie game is introducing this band to you guys.
game was trash.... music was/is great!
Check the update,t hat was released today, it is actually vastly improved game now
what does it add?
Me, I found out about them from a Nature Channel NASA space shuttle video. Never played 'no mans sky'.

A fitting theme for the NMS Prisms update
Is it techno? Is it post rock? Whatever it is it's fascinating.
***** i also wonder sometimes, but then i just don't give a damn and enjoy them pieces of art from this band ^^
+emanmes 3000 it is it's own genre in a way every song is so stop stuffing them all in a box and marking it with a sticker

+Thomes Maisling (Thomaise) Well, it is definitely not techno dude. It is Post-Rock with electronic elements.
65 really need to do more songs like this.
+Jess Reckoner What are you talking about? they have 7 albums of it!
The breakdown at 3:44 is just awesome.
If this doesn't lift you up with its energy, you are anti-energy. One of my favorites of all time.
pianti disperati di gioia, disperazione e commozione
I’ve only JUST came across this?! What a masterpiece

They can be annoyed all they want. They don't own 65dos. So all that really matters is that we go back and buy all their albums
deathtokoalas ahah well said, i myself am i gamer but im also a music lover, and gosh i love things like this... its just pure art
+Richter Vega Not at all. 65dos has been niche for so long, it nice to see some new blood liking this great music.
