That front plate is 120mm which if angled at 45 degrees and poked around a corner with the track jutting in front of it is now 300mm.
You park this thing behind a building, stick your face out, eat whatever shoots you because "oh its French it has no armor", and then auto pen whatever shot you back because 212/260 pen values
It just works.
Until you hit the turret because the turret front armor is quite thin.
We are fully aware that the upper plate can pull off some bounces. I even 3 marked the tech tree arl-44. Problem is that the turret is paper thin. And there is no way you can deal damage without giving the enemy an easy target. And the long aim time does not help. But I see your point.
@@AwesomeEpicGuys I do agree though, it has basically no armor otherwise. The face baiting is situational but it gets really funny when you do it to a tier 8 several times.

Probably my favourite skin of this event, I love how it looks compared to the naked ARL.
The most good at everything is the Sherman, but I have both the Thunderbolt and the E2 with stock turret and Howitzer, so I'm grinding for the Croc, and then I will go for CDT.
I have successfully partly escaped wot, and I have ascended to the realms of playing other games, like Helldivers and Pacific Drive, and if I was playing wot I’d rather die than grind another battle pass out
This was the OG aim mechanic tank, also one of the OG snap mechanic tanks
I’ve always loved the way the Sherman’s play in the tank, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy the Church as well. Have played enough of the French to say one way or the other.

The aiming time on the ARL 44 and CDT is the only thing about it I don't get, it's a 90mm with worse aimtime then the 122mm DERP on the KV-1S

I think the Sherman tank that I can't even remember the name of 'cuz it's too long. It's definitely the best of the bunch with its superior rate of fire ....
I honestly haven't played the game in about a year now, and I'm not seeing any reason to go back. Now, I do like the ARL-44, but only because of the 105mm gun (and no, not because of the premium ammo, I always tried to use as little gold as possible because I wanted to make at least some amount of credits). The 90mm has great pen for tier VI, but it's slow to fire, slow to aim, with a mediocre-ish alpha for a "Heavy" (well, French) that really requires a peek-a-boom playstyle because you don't have any armour. The style does look pretty nice though, so there's that at least, I guess....
Lol most heavy at tier have 240 alpha that litterally the standart alpha for tier heavy tank
At tier VI, sure 240 alpha is not bad, but it's not great for a Heavy that has no armour. Because WoT has +/-2 matchmaking, you also get to meet tier VII tanks that have 250, 300, 320 or 390 alpha, and you can't stand and fight against them. You either need to be able to peek-a-boom, or learn to play the TD role in that tank. For which the French 90mm does have great pen for, if you can live with the slow reload and long aim-time.
Quality stuff AEG, I figured this gun would have been more rage inducing for Edvan than we saw. Why instead of making a 3D skin for this tanks, or making carbon copies of the tech tree tanks, do they make stuff that is just worse all around? Now do the A43 BP prototype.

I ignore the bonus chapter, not sure if I could get all 3 tanks otherwise in summer. I like the Sherman skin and tank the most. Churchill is the next one, although it's not FLAMETHROWER 😭. ARL should be played with the 105 shooting gold. This is just another copy to mark, but it will be painful with the worse gun.

I think that CDT is the best tank out of all 3 battle pass tanks. Not that it is amazing, but not having to use gold us nice for income.
I bought the full battle pass, so yeah, I'm going to get all three. Whether I buy another battle pass after this remains to be seen.
Not grinding for these tanks.... nor playing the game for any other goal either. Haven't played in a bit over a week. Uninstalled WoT the first time after 2 years and 5 months of active playing(that is, when I started). I don't want to make any assumptions, but players who had only EU 3 and 4 accessible before being able to play on any EU server has had some... disruptive effects in matchmaking and match flow. So disruptive in fact, that I can't play anymore lest I lose the last bits of my dwindling sanity.

Love this tank, you never need premium ammo its pens so good, shame they nerfed the armour on the regular tech tree version to match the weaker armour on this, its not like it was ever op.
Hope you know they have the same armor and arl 44 was never nerfed in term of armor thickness
@@hellisia-celeste-evangelin8925 @hellisia-celeste-evangelin8925 it was nerfed in the update 1.25 patch notes, ARL turret front sides were reduced from 40mm to 30mm, 120mm and less guns used to auto ricochet as it was over a 70 degree angle when front facing, now anything over 90mm just overmatches your turret. . Tanks gg has just updated the new armour values.

I've recently unlock the CDT and had 125 games on it. SERIOUSLY this tank is an enigma you AIM you will not hit around 50% of the time but snapshotting on that thing is 100% hit guaranteed.

because the 105mm never existed on the tank, the same with most gun configurations in this game.
even the regular 90mm gun would have been better, with 170 standard pen, but better aim time and DPM
