i met you in new york a few weeks ago. when alex olson was trying to ollie over those handrails. well when you guys left, someone called the cops alex for skating through the street and the cops came up to me and my friends and gave us all tickets. so tell alex he owes me $125.
@LxPxRxPunk Dude,I've met Andrew Reynolds and Geoff, they aren't douchebags, its pretty obvious they were stressed out, their like what? In their early thirties, its normal for people to be stressed, you can't expect them to be all generous and nice. I'm a chill person, but in certain times I could sometimes act like an asshole for reasons. I
@LxPxRxPunk And what are you basing that off of? From what you've seen from videos? From a time you've "met" them at a demo? For all you know they could have been in a bad mood or just stressed out. But also not everyone likes the attention that the more popular skaters get, some aren't in it for the attention or fame. They're in it either because they needed to make a living off of it, or they just loved to skate and the fact they could get paid doing what they love was just a plus.
@LxPxRxPunk It's pros that are doing the demo, not just one pro. And if one guy doesn't feel like talking to any of the kids and just wants to skate that's fine, because the kids are usually going to ask for some free shit when that's what the product toss is for...
@DominicMosqueda but thats exactly the point, if some pro giving a demo, which is kinda of the whole deal interacting with kids so they get stoked and buy stuff from your sponsor. If he doesnt like kids because hes already has a beard and kids dont or whatever. then pros shouldnt do demos. Stay at your house and listen to indie music while you read a novel.
LOL Jamie Thomas, pros are a lot nicer these days though, more conscious that they are role models for kids. I remember when element came to my town skatepark and i asked levi brown to sign my shirt and he refused to sign anymore shirts. i was so bummed for that whole day lol
@falleinloveshoes7 Again, thats my point. ive some times stressed out on little kids getting in my way at the local park or spot. But i regret it since i remember being a stupid kid getting in everyones way. I agree with you, but were NOT pros or ams, that shit can come back to haunt you. I think some comment mentioned that nobody but kids give a fuck about whatever a skater has to say or do. I guess you can keep a distance while being fairly nice even in an off day.
@falleinloveshoes7 being mean sometimes to little kids, i dont regret it like going home and crying "Why? Why did i do that? Oh what terrible descision ive just taken!!!" i just think i couldve been nicer. BUT at the same time I know some kids can be a real pain in the ass, and theyre not all innocent darlings, maybe Austyn should ask himself if he wasnt being obnouxious with the chief (who i found out to be really nice).
You guys need to realize that pros are only gonna answer a few questions. You guys don't even realize how stressful it is to get fan out by hundreds of kids,I don't fan out on my favorite skaters.Just chill out and have a good convo with a pro, without asking "CAN I HAVE UR BOARD????"
@DominicMosqueda As far as the skaters mentioned, from "meeting" them. They were good to everyone and maintained distance at the same time. But just as you said, SOME arent in it for the fame, but we both know that SOME are. Im right there with you, that skaters should profit from their ability. Theyre not social workers or role models, I just think they should think further ahead before they act like dickheads, everything catches up with you sooner or later, just ask Jamie Thomas.
@collingwood170159 like yo, shecklers cool as hell, tori pudwill cool as shit yo, fuckin prods mad cool, mike vs hella good with people and kids n shit , jamie thomas, like hey theres people that crap on you respect your fans big dog

I find it funny how you can find that same type of elitism from some regular ass dudes.
Skaters are quite the antisocial animal.
