Nauman ejaz is a great actor but not a very good host. It’s the job of a host to make his guest comfortable, to give attention to the guest and also them follow up questions so they can elaborate. He should have said, I don’t know who that is and asked her to tell us something about him and his poetry

Wow..intellectual lady...simple n an educated lady.
Met her, Samiya Mumtaz, once at Lahore lit fest but she denied a pic with two girls (Myself and a friend) which is fine but she didn’t even engage in any way, overall left a bad impression because it was odd as she seems humble but I’ve seen her around in Lahore since and not approached her as per her wishes. So even if her skills as an artist are admirable, one has to be a kind person to deserve a fan following.
May be she was having a bad day or she is not comfortable interacting with strangers so easily. There can be various factors that can impact ones mental health. At the end if she politely denied to be photographed and wasn't rude, no harm was done. We should always respect people's choices and boundaries.
That's why it's so important to know about mental health. Else it's just being unconscious bias.
Kindness doesn't mean to invade the privacy of someone. May be she doesn't like to get photographed much as u must have never seen her in award shows or social media blogs vlogs etc.. everyone has their own priorities.
She even replied that she doesn't consider pic taking good. Bad but her opinion
