"I never noticed trains, I never even thought about trains, until I started working here" "It wasn't anything I've really heard of before" "Fresh out of college and pretty young, direct route into a management roll" Yes, this why there is such a disparity between management and train crews. You get a kid trying to tell a 30 year veteran how to do his job, whose never done it himself. If you're a "yes" man, apply for this job, because that's who they're looking for.
There was a study that examined executives across America and a trait many of them shared was that they were thrust into a role that gave them more responsibility than they thought they were ready for. That shaped them into the next generation of leaders. Although you may disagree with them, the manager that you have a great relationship with now was also in that spot. They'll bump their head and trip over their own feet plenty along the way, but I'm willing to bet that you did too in conductor school. God bless, and stay safe.
@@lipinghu11 you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. Working there for 25 years. I’ve seen over 50 managers come and go. All the once I Currently work with all want to quit.
