The Pogues - I'm A Man You Don't Meet Everyday - Live at QMU Glasgow - 13th December 1985

This is a fantastic historical document and I, for one, am very glad it exists. Enjoy what is possibly the only video footage of Cait singing I'm a man you don't meet everyday when she was still a member of The Pogues.
The crowd are chanting Jock Stein in tribute to the hugely popular and respected Celtic & Scotland manager, the first British manager to win the European Cup. In a testament to his coaching skills he achieved this with players who all came from within a 30 mile radius of Glasgow.
On 10th September 1985, Scotland played Wales at Ninian Park, Cardiff, in a 1986 World Cup qualification match. Wales had been leading 1-0 by a Mark Hughes goal, before Scotland were awarded a penalty with 9 minutes left. Davie Cooper scored to make the score 1-1; the resulting draw secured a qualification play-off against Australia.
Jock Stein had been in poor health and under intense pressure. He suffered a fatal pulmonary edema (fluid build-up in the lungs) at the end of the game. Dedicated to his players, as always, he had stopped taking prescribed medication for heart disease so his match preparations would not be disrupted by the side effects.
Jock died shortly afterwards in the stadium's medical room; he was 62 years old.

Are you sure it's Cait singing? She doesn't look like Cait and the voice sounds a bit different as well? Who is playing bass?

Thats 100% Cait. I have footage of the whole gig. She plays bass on every song except this one as she couldn't sing and play at that time.
