I remember Vin calling a minor collision on the field and saying: "As Chick Hearn would say, no harm no foul". My head almost exploded! 😁😁 I miss these guys....
And a few year later Bob gets 2 rings! Chick and Vin are amazing announcers and storytellers. I feel like my parents hired them to babysit us as kids. Lol
So fortunate to have grown up in L.A. listening to Scully, Hearn and Enberg. Wasn't a hockey fan, so I didn't listen to Miller. But we truly had the supreme broadcasting quartet.
I grew up in the 70s-90s listening to all three of them 350x a year counting pre-season, regular season, playoffs.. they were like an extension of my teachers for 25yrs .. its crazy thinking about listening to 10,000 games they called that I must have listened to or part of from the time I was 4/5 years old.. I can remember bringing a panasonic transistor radio (my grandma bought from FedCo:) to school year round or really anywhere...
There is not another group of announcers that are in the same stratosphere as these three hall of famers, Scully, Hearn and Miller). The greatest in all three sports and I had the privilege to live in California and grew up listening to them. Never again will there be so much royalty in the announcers booth. I love you guys!
Everyone, including those outside of So Cal know of the legends that are Chick and Vin. But Bob Miller is special, by far the best hockey voice I have ever heard and also had the hardest job to announce due to the speed of the game.
Growing up, you could hear the echo of Vin throughout the park. My Grandpa and every other fan brought their transistor radios so they could hear the master.
I remember this. They announced it well ahead of time. I had looked for this before but no dice. I remember Vin Scully saying that he wishes for Bob Miller to be able to say, 'The Los Angeles Kings are the Stanley Cup Champions.' He did. KEEP HOUNDING FOX SPORTS TO UPLOAD THE REST OF IT.
Well said. I wish they would upload the entire interview. I actually recorded this on VHS but unfortunately, it was taped over. I'll take this short clip though. A rare treat seeing all of these great broadcasters together on the same stage.
I remember so many times when I couldn't watch the games but listened to these 3 call the games on the radio and their descriptions were so clear it was like I was right there with the team!
LA is truly blessed. Amazing franchises in the kings, lakers and dodgers but the crown on the top is that we grew up with these poet announces for many many many years. We are super spoiled in LA.
The dynamic duo!! Chick and Vin!! There's nothing for me to discuss!! Just sit back listen to the greater of the greats!!! LIVE IN ETERNAL SPIRIT ALWAYS ANGEL ANCESTORS Vin and Chick!! 🎙🎙
Never really grew up in the Chick Hearn Era big he is a huge important part of Laker history, and with Bob as of 2017 I know he’s retired now. As for Vin I grew up listening to him and watching the Dodger games on KCAL (the good old days btw) Vin is obviously retired now but those three men are legendary.
Vin Scully was around for so long that different generations of fans have their own "good old days". For me it was the days before Fox when the Dodger games were televised on Channel 11 / KTTV.
FFFF!!!!!! Legend!!!!! I grew up listen to all of them!!! MAN!!! @ the the timeI, I was a YOUNG, L.A. boy! Now! I am an old L. A. BOy 👦!!! Just like all of you!!! WHO? grew up the same way????
didnt listen to kings hockey but do remember listening to Chick doing laker road games on KHJ and Vin doing dodger road games on KTTV back in the early-mid 80s
Chick Hearn coined a lexicon of basketball terms. What a delight. The creator of the "frozen rope." Vin I listened to when the Dodgers were in Brooklyn. I can't add a thing to what's been said in praise.
I remember Vin calling a minor collision on the field and saying: "As Chick Hearn would say, no harm no foul". My head almost exploded! 😁😁 I miss these guys....
That's the Mount Rushmore of LA!
Forgot Jaime Jarrin
I was thinking the exact same thing. What a lineup.
Absolutely, and still going!!
Mt. Rushmore everywhere!
LA also had the great Dick Enberg in the 1960's and early 1970's. Chick, Vin, and Dick are truly the greatest of the great.
3:51 as legendary as Bob Miller and Chick Hearn are, the look of respect and reverence they give to Vin Scully is incredible.
There will never be another Vincent Edward Scully 🎙💙💖💔
He will be forever missed 😢 November 29, 1927 ~ August 2, 2022
And a few year later Bob gets 2 rings! Chick and Vin are amazing announcers and storytellers. I feel like my parents hired them to babysit us as kids. Lol
Damn we (LA) were spoiled!! Legends!
I was so lucky to have these 3 guys in my life.
So fortunate to have grown up in L.A. listening to Scully, Hearn and Enberg. Wasn't a hockey fan, so I didn't listen to Miller. But we truly had the supreme broadcasting quartet.
All best announcers for their sports. I'm so lucky to have grown up in So Cal hearing these legends year round!
Same here.
Little did Bill know at that time that he'd go on to be the announcer for the Lakers with Stu Lantz.
And doing a fine job at it too.
Had to come back here after the sad news earlier tonight. RIP Vin Scully. It is soothing to know he can go say hi to Chick again.
As a grown man this interview made me cry. Absolute legends
I am crying as I watch this. End of an era.
I love vin and chick
😢😢😢😢
Incredible
Best announcers all time and it’s not even close
LEGENDS!! Man we were spoiled here in La.
These are the great LEGENDS of sports radio broadcasting. What a treat to see all 3 sitting down for an interview. PURE GOLD!
👍👍👍😀😀😀
I grew up in the 70s-90s listening to all three of them 350x a year counting pre-season, regular season, playoffs.. they were like an extension of my teachers for 25yrs .. its crazy thinking about listening to 10,000 games they called that I must have listened to or part of from the time I was 4/5 years old.. Awesome interview. Chick and Vin are legendary. Bob Miller is pure HoF all the way.
Nuf said.
Now They're all together again :(...RIP to all three.
Bob Miller is still alive
We here in Southern California have been Blessed with hearing these voices!
Man look at all of those of GOATs in one room!
I miss Chick.
The jello is giggling.
I miss chick too!!
Crazy how time flies.
All that was missing was Dick Enberg who was Rams Angels Ucla Basketball at the sametime as these 3. LA was great in the 70s
LA sports doesn’t get the national recognition that it deserves but we all know it has one of the best sports cultures in the country.
There is not another group of announcers that are in the same stratosphere as these three hall of famers, Scully, Hearn and Miller). I don't know how hockey announcers do it.
three of the most underrated voices to call the sport
Some of the greatest all time ever over all sports sitting there. Man we were spoiled.
I grew up with CHICK! He was AWSOME! Bob didn’t have championship rings at this time, but he was able to get 2 Stanley Cup rings!
I remember they were " teasing" Bob because he didn't have any rings ...
Pretty funny.
Oh man , chick was special as well.
Great times
I was in '61..how fortunate for all of us that we had 3 of the all time greatest announcers
I’m happy that Bob also got some rings to join Vin and Chick.
Growing up, you could hear the echo of Vin throughout the park. My Grandpa and every other fan brought their transistor radios so they could hear the master.

I have it on CD
What a blessing it was for anyone who ever had a conversation with Vin Scully.
Growing up with these 3 is a gift that will never happen again.
Legends All ! ❤️❤️❤️we were so blessed in Los Angeles
Legends of sports broadcasting. We had the best in L.A. Met Bob Miller twice and both times he was very welcoming and extremely friendly to talk to.
i would be in so awe struck being in that room with these three gentlemen. wow
I remember so many times when I couldn't watch the games but listened to these 3 call the games on the radio and their descriptions were so clear it was like I was right there with the team!
all of them called world championships for their beloved teams all of them immortal icons
LA is truly blessed. Amazing franchises in the kings, lakers and dodgers but the crown on the top is that we grew up with these poet announces for many many many years. We are super spoiled in LA.
Chick Hearn is always ultra fun to listen to. A true artist and great basketball mind.
Three Legends
At the time this was filmed Vin Scully's career still had sixteen years to run. That's an entire career for some people in his field.
R.I.P To the Storyteller Vin Scully
These announcers matched their organizations. Pure class.
Unlike the Yankees where their announcers are weird, loud and cheesy. It doesn't match!
Rip chick Hearn and vin scully
I recall watching this special broadcast in real time.
Loved hearing Miller say "Saveddd by Vachon " !!
Rest In Peace Vin :(
3 Sports legends and class acts! I could make an argument that Dick Enberg should be the 4th participant representing Football (Ram)
I agree, he also did the Angel's and UCLA football and basketball.
The GOATS OF SPORTS BRODCASTING!! God blessed LA and the sports world
Grew up with Chick & Vin in the 70s & 80s....nobody can touch either one
I can just imagine how Bill felt sitting in the presence of greatness!!
We remember them now! The heavens are lucky to get our guys together now! Los Angeles Love!
In heaven a bedtime story is told to you by vin sculls on one side of you and chick Hern on the other side🥰
This was an awesome broadcast. Such greatness.
GOATS!
The dynamic duo!! Chick and Vin!! There's nothing for me to discuss!! Just sit back listen to the greater of the greats!!! LIVE IN ETERNAL SPIRIT ALWAYS ANGEL ANCESTORS Vin and Chick!! 🎙🎙
Come to think that Bill MacDonald covering the Lakers games years later and doing good at it still.
My Respects to all !!! Gentlemen.
True Legends!
All Hall OF FAMERS Beautiful
Never really grew up in the Chick Hearn Era big he is a huge important part of Laker history, and with Bob as of 2017 I know he’s retired now.

Vin Scully was around for so long that different generations of fans have their own "good old days". For me it was the days before Fox when the Dodger games were televised on Channel 11 / KTTV.
First, it's was Vin Scully who's retired for the LA Dodgers, and last but not least, it's was Bob Miller who's retired for the LA Kings.
Chick was the first one we lost
The best of the best of the best! LEGENDS!
3 of the greatest broadcasters
Yes
RIP VIN 🙏🏽
Incredible footage! 🔥 🔥 🔥
thanks for sharing
such an astounding video to watch... it is epic! wow
Holy Crap, Bill MacDonald is so young here
Lakers and Dodgers game aren't the same without these guys.
By far the best in their sports!
RIP Vin Scully
I remember this interview!

I grew up listen to all of them!!!
MAN!!! @ the the timeI, I was a YOUNG, L.A. boy!
Now! I am an old L. A. BOy 👦!!!
Just like all of you!!!

“In order to get rid of him, I hired him” 😂😂😂
That is a power house right there!
There’s my childhood right there in a row. There are also my teachers right there in a row.
Happy Birthday Chick .
. We miss U Golden Throat
RIP Legends
Legendary icons
didnt listen to kings hockey but do remember listening to Chick doing laker road games on KHJ and Vin doing dodger road games on KTTV back in the early-mid 80s
Legends.
Epic🎙️there was never any one better and will never be even close in their own way of calling it ✌️out
Chick Hearn coined a lexicon of basketball terms. What a delight. The creator of the "frozen rope." Vin I listened to when the Dodgers were in Brooklyn. I can't add a thing to what's been said in praise.
"Slam dunk" too right?
@@bobbowie9350 I think so.
Remember this well - but would never have guessed that Chick was 11 years older than Vin.
I would. Vin was considered a prodigy broadcaster starting in his 20s. Chick didn't get his big gig with the lakers until his 30s
Chicky Baby. I love Chick Hearn--such a good man.
NICE ! Never seen this.
RIP Vin Scully.
Hearn and Scully were the Ruth and Cobb of sports broadcasting.
Legends!!
Is this 'Bob' guy combing his hair into the shape of a yarmulke?
Legends
Missing - Dick Enberg. There's your LA Mt. Rushmore.
Chick is older than Vin by almost exactly 11 years, who is older than Bob by the same amount.
R.I.P.: Chick Hearn 😢😢😢😢😢
No one touches Chick
I could listen vin read the ingredients of water and be mezmorized
