  • The new R7 is specifically aimed at riders who want pure SuperSport design with exciting real-world performance at an accessible price.
Featuring sharp R-Series styling, compact chassis and exciting performance, the super-slim R7 offers sports performance with everyday fun making it the ideal choice for a next generation of thrill seekers who want to be a part of R World.
Delivering 73.4 PS at 8750 rpm, the 689cc CP2 engine of the R7 offers thrilling acceleration and instant throttle response. Its 270-degree crank gives an uneven firing interval that ensures a lively and exciting feel as the revs rise and its linear torque output enables you to lay down the power efficiently for faster corner exits. The R7 is the first CP2-engined Yamaha to be equipped with an Assist and Slipper clutch that delivers smoother gear shifting and prevents engine over-rev and rear wheel hop during hard braking.
Next generation Icon Blue and graphics are used on the upper body surfaces as well as the lower aluminium panels and wheels while the sides of the fairing feature a contrasting darker matte blue. As well as this R-Series duo-tone design, the R7 is also available in an understated Yamaha Black colour option with minimal graphics and accents. The 2024 Yamaha YZF-R7 available in an Icon Blue as well as Midnight Black and price at £8,910.00, All prices include On-the-Road preparation charges.

I'd call the R7 a sport. not a super sport.
But as I beginner it's my dream starter bike. Light, slim, stunning.
If one day I'll get confident enough I will start looking into the R1 etc.
But for now this one is all I need.

Why would you want to get an R1? Genuine question coming from someone who has riden a few liter bikes

R1 gives too much power and you can't even use its full potential if you only ride on the street and not on the racetrack. Plus its price is double compared to r7. Getting a litre bike seems pointless if you do not even ride on the racetrack. That is why the r7 is the best option. You get a very sporty look with an aggressive riding position but still managable. Price wise, this is the best option

Parallel twin isn’t a super sport bike in my mind, inline 4 or v4 are true super sport engines
