I remember this programme by Kiran Bedi's act.I had seen this new year eve programme perhaps 1980 was the year with my late father and mother, and my two sisters .Beautiful memories of this programme revived.Thanks.

This program was 1980 New Year Program titled "Hungama". I think this was the last known hit program of New Year eve on Doordarshan. Gurdas Maan was introduced to the world during this program. After this year, the quality of new year programs on Doordarshan hit a new low and never stood up.
@m00li No, I do not. As a kid I used to keenly watch morning shows on Doordarshan and Deepak Vohra became part of my childhood memories. I saw him on TV about a couple of years back and instantly recognised him. He is retired now but can be seen on debates every now and then.

This is probably the only video where some of the greats of the countries best know how's were to be seen.such decency and honest lovingly presented and the audience is quiet amazing and curiously enjoying ..nostalgic
I distinctly remember watching this particular New Years Eve program on DD. Entertainment was so clean and simple then.
About 40 people from neighborhood tucked in a single room of a chawl and watching this program. Those were the days of my life....

This program was 1980 New Year Program titled "Hungama". I think this was the last known hit program of New Year eve on Doordarshan. Gurdas Maan was introduced to the world during this program. After this year, the quality of new year programs on Doordarshan hit a new low and never stood up.

@m00li No, I do not. As a kid I used to keenly watch morning shows on Doordarshan and Deepak Vohra became part of my childhood memories. I saw him on TV about a couple of years back and instantly recognised him. He is retired now but can be seen on debates every now and then.
