I'm so glad I stumbled upon your video!!!! I have the attention span of a gnat! And those videos that are 13 mins+ is just TOO much for me!!!! Thank you for being short and sweet and to the point!!!!

I bought this pom pom maker and had trouble using it. Then I found this tutorial. No other tutorial I watched talked about the click when you tied the pom pom. Jennifer was clear and very personable while giving me exactly what I needed to make great pom poms. Thank you very much.

Great video, thanks! Do you have any tips to keep the yarn super secure within the finished pom pom……so individual pieces can’t be pulled out?

Do you recommend a particular thickness of yarn?

You can use any weight yarn. The thicker the yarn the less winding you have to do. We like to use worsted weight acrylic yarn. We find it gives the best result but you can also use other fibers like wool roving and even tulle.

How would you just make a tassel?

Hello! You can't make a tassel with our Pom-Pom Maker but we do carry Tassel Makers. You can find a Tassel Maker tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/020j_zkgXyI/w-d-xo.html

After you wind the first side do you cut the yarn or do you continue with the same string and just switch over to continue winding the other side?
I have that same clover pack and my pom pom doesn't come out right, I tie the not until I hear a click and then some but, the not still isn't tight enough.
Very good tutorial by the way.

      Hello,
After you finish the first side you need to cut your yarn and then wind on the other side exactly like you did on the first side.
As far as the tightness of the knot. You can try doing a double knot to see if that helps and also using two strands of yarn at a time instead of one. Let us know if it works :)

How do you keep the the yarn strands from pulling out? I've done these steps, tied off as tight as I could and I could still pull the strands out... what am I doing wrong?

If it keeps happening and you don't hear the click, return to store for exchange. Reaching out to the company unsure if they will resolve it.

Hello, if you believe you have a defective tool we would be happy to replace it. You would have to contact our customer service department via email: customercare@clover-usa.com. And they will gladly walk you through the steps to replace your tool.
But I do want to point out the importance of the double knot, when you wrap your thread around the pom-pom maker the first time. You can see the technique I'm referring to in this Tassel Maker Tutorial (th-cam.com/video/020j_zkgXyI/w-d-xo.html) where she puts the thread through the loop twice before tightening. And then do another knot (the second doesn't have to be a double knot). The second knot holds the tight double knot in place.
