Just imagine, she wrote this at 13 years old after reading a newspaper article, and was able to write it from the perspective of the addict. Says a lot about the talent and maturity she brings had even back then. If this made you get the feelies, have a look at the version she did at the Pepsi Center in2023, just her on a piano and a string section. And then watch her play ‘Breathe’ at the same concert. Somehow there’s always someone near me chopping onions when I watch that one.
I love it when the girls rock out. But there's something magical that happens when Pau sings the slower song. This one and Escape the mind just blow me away. The passion in her voice sends shivers down my spine.
As others have written here, I can only regret that this extraordinary song does not have 100 times more views. I hope that in the future, when The Warning becomes truly famous, the public will discover and do justice to this extraordinary work.
It is inhuman that a 15-year-old can give such a performance that makes full-grown adults cry. Even more out of this world, is that a 13-year-old could write such a perceptive song. I cannot believe that she only needed to read an incidental article about it to get the inspiration! And yet, there already is a magnificent body of work. And what is yet to come!
They need to reinsert this song into their setlist - it's a great change of pace. They're still so young, it's amazing that they can't fit all their great songs into a concert...
As of November 30, 2023 they could perform for three hours and still have to leave off some of their best music. Their catalog is that deep. Once you go down this rabbit hole it is inescapable. And I'm loving every moment.

It's hard to believe that 5 years separate one performance from the other and that so many are still unaware of the absurd talent of these 3 sisters and this support team that make up the phenomenon The Warning.

I'm a granddad rock guy. I've seen the old gods live in their youth. I've mixed a lot of shows. In the last decade, I stumbled upon young Adele, The Pretty Reckless, Larkin Poe and now The Warning. I listen to LP and TW the most. Pau is a monster. My buddy tours with one of the old gods. He thinks that all music after Judas Priest is garbage. But, after pointing him to some videos, he allows that Pau is pretty good for her age. Ha!

I have now met the girls three times, once on line in a live chat and twice attending their concerts in Portland and Phoenix, have two guitars signed by all three girls, and lyrics to Black Holes written for me by Pau. Old guy here, too, I'm 66, and was lucky enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble three times live in small venues during their Texas Flood tour in 1983-1984 -- and The Warning is the most exciting band I've seen live since then. Their sheer power, magnetism and stage presence is astounding in person. Finally, another Larkin Poe Fan! Another sister group that absolutely kills it! Rebecca and Megan are my other favorite band right now. Keep rocking!

She has performed while crying last year. "Do you know how difficult it is to cry and play the drums" she told the crowd. The Warning should redo their old songs live with the kind of instruments & budget they have now. These are absolute jewels that should not be allowed to fade into oblivion. The girls should sit down with Jason Flom of Lava Records, if necessary.
That's exactly what happened. And Dany broke down while doing a solo of When I'm Alone. That completely broke the flood control of my eyes. When you see a musician become emotional while trying to perform flawlessly in front of their fans that's because they are looking and listening to their fans in admiration and thinking about all the sacrifices they have made over the years. The Warning is already in my top ten of all time and climbing the rankings with each live performance. Best band of the XXI Century! God I love them.

I have watched this video for months now and love it! I know it is a sad song but I have ti tell you- when Pau smiles in the beginning it is like the sun coming out. She makes me smile. I have heard that she smiles because she hears the audience singing along with her. IF that's true I am happy for her. All I know is that that smile of hers makes my day every time!. I love these ladies and cannot get enough of their music!
I tell ya what...Pau's voice sounds better than the album version in this performance. More emotion. More depth. More feeling. I love that Ale is groovin to this song like it's a jam session. Bassists are so chill. Dany's vocal support and guitar work are fantastic. This is incredible. You three are beyond amazing.

So it’s now 2024 and they just released the Pepsi Center CDMX Live version of BLACK HOLES with the backing orchestra (I WASN’T CRYING! YOU WERE CRYING). I came back here to listen to/watch this classic performance by Pau when she was surprised at the audience singing back to her. I had forgotten how Dany was singing the low harmonies at this time and how fantastic Alé’s mid-harmonies sounded. It’s just fantastic to see how they’ve grown and evolved (!) over the years It’s still mesmerizing…
I hope they keep up the dual vocal leadership duties in albums going forward, because both Dany and Pau are strong, powerful leads in their own right. Reminds me a lot of Queen in that regard!
I listen to The Warning daily but a few of their songs are only weekly. If that. Their recent performances of Black Holes and When I'm Alone will open the flood gates every time. They are definitely soul snatchers.

I've been so focused on the great songs on their Mayday EP and Money that I've only listened to 3 or 4 of their older songs. This beautiful, powerful piano driven rock ballad is clear evidence that I may be missing out on some real gems from their earlier albums and EP.
I discovered them a year ago thanks to their ES cover that appeared in a game trailer. When I watched that music video I just went on Spotify and listened to everything in order that they have, I couldn't believe that everything I heard is enjoyable and something I could listen repeatedly. Still the only artist where I comfortably have their entire discography on my playlist.

Son una banda increíble, por eso no entiendo cómo muchos en México las descalifican y dicen que no tienen talento, puede ser que no les guste su música y eso tiene sentido pues todos tenemos gustos diferentes, pero decir que son malas solo puede interpretarse como envidia y mezquindad en no reconocer el buen trabajo de las chicas.

I have watched this video for months now and love it! I know it is a sad song but I have ti tell you- when Pau smiles in the beginning it is like the sun coming out. She makes me smile. I have heard that she smiles because she hears the audience singing along with her. IF that's true I am happy for her. All I know is that that smile of hers makes my day every time!. I love these ladies and cannot get enough of their music!
I tell ya what...Pau's voice sounds better than the album version in this performance. More emotion. More depth. More feeling. I love that Ale is groovin to this song like it's a jam session. Bassists are so chill. Dany's vocal support and guitar work are fantastic. This is incredible. You three are beyond amazing.

So it’s now 2024 and they just released the Pepsi Center CDMX Live version of BLACK HOLES with the backing orchestra (I WASN’T CRYING! YOU WERE CRYING). I came back here to listen to/watch this classic performance by Pau when she was surprised at the audience singing back to her. I had forgotten how Dany was singing the low harmonies at this time and how fantastic Alé’s mid-harmonies sounded.

I've been so focused on the great songs on their Mayday EP and Money that I've only listened to 3 or 4 of their older songs. This beautiful, powerful piano driven rock ballad is clear evidence that I may be missing out on some real gems from their earlier albums and EP.
I discovered them a year ago thanks to their ES cover that appeared in a game trailer. When I watched that music video I just went on Spotify and listened to everything in order that they have, I couldn't believe that everything I heard is enjoyable and something I could listen repeatedly. Still the only artist where I comfortably have their entire discography on my playlist.
Similar situation here. Didn’t think I’d like their early music but,wow. They’ve obviously put in the work. They have that special something. Pau:helluva songwriter.

The Warning should redo their old songs live with the kind of instruments & budget they have now. These are absolute jewels that should not be allowed to fade into oblivion. The girls should sit down with Jason Flom of Lava Records, if necessary."
