If playing Pembrooke, the bidding would likely go 7 hearts, pass, 8 hearts, 8 spades, 9 hearts, pass, pass, pass, pass.

I am afraid I don't know what Pembrooke is! Not often that is true regarding something about bridge! Can you elaborate please?
