Still wondering why God would torment the unsaved forever in hell? No need to wonder, because it's simply not true. Jesus said they go into "everlasting punishment" in Matthew 25:46. That's permanent, final, finished punishment; it is not perpetual, ongoing punishing. The unsaved perish, permanently, in what the Bible calls "the second death," after resurrection for judgment. That's the end of them; they will not even "be" any more:
"For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be." (Psalms 37:10)
"As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation." (Proverbs 10:25)
"The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity." (Proverbs 10:29)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
The wages of sin is death - not eternal life in torment. Salvation is not about - and never was about - _where_ you'll spend eternity. You won't even _have_ an eternity, of any sort, anywhere, unless you receive from God the gift of eternal life.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Those are the options: either you perish, or you receive the gift of eternal life.
The "immortal soul" that "has to live, someplace, forever" is a pagan doctrine. We would have no need to receive the gift of eternal life if we really had immortal souls. The "immortal soul" goes back to Satan's lie in the Garden: "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die." (Genesis 3:4)

The Bible has contradictions. In John 3:16 the Bible says that God loves everyone with a saving love while other verses says that he only loves the elect with a saving love.

Everyone refers to Gods elect. No contradiction

Ok, so let's say everyone refers to the elect. When John 3:16 says "whoever believes in him shall not perish" is it saying whosoever of the elect believes in him? Are some of God's elect going to hell?

It is all of our destiny to go to heaven. Got made heaven for you and for me, but because he genuinely loves you he will not force you to do what he wants and love him back. The way into heaven is through him and is the true way to live and is what you are made for, but if you are too prideful to trust in the God that made then fine you don't have to trust him, that's your choice to go against your destiny.

😒 Do you honestly think anyone would actually choose hell over heaven? No, according to the Bible God didn't make Heaven for everyone, only the elect. Actually, only for Himself but he invites you guys over to stare at him forever. Because, you know....ego. He wants to flex his muscles and everything.

When it says whosoever it is not saying whosever without exception. Rather it is saying whosoever without distinction. A new york woman can be part of Gods elect just as much as an israelite. Now to refer to the "stare at him forever" comment(quite funny i might add) When youre in true worship, you find it is the most satisfying and glorious thing you can partake in. God doesnt only invite us to praise Him for his own glory, but because we are fully satisfied when we do so. C.S. Lewis once spoke about how many people view heaven as a very boring and dull place because they take the scriptures definitions of it into the understanding of men. He says that they think that heaven is just golden roads that eventually become boring and just constant praise and awe because God commands it. He goes on to say that gold is used as a description because it never rusts and the house of the Lord remains forever, and praise is used because it brings forth our complete satisfaction in Him and then sarcastically says "Well I suppose when they read Christ say "be as harmless as doves" they understood we are expected to grow feathers. I recommend you read a book by John Piper called Desiring God. It illustrates how God searches worship so that we can be fully satisfied in Him. I use to be where you are. Doubting God, and questioning Him. The anger and frustration in your text is just a testament for your yearning of his identity to be revealed to you.God died for his elect because He knew if we were given every opportunity to choose him over sin we would never do it. So he chose us. he changed the desire of our hearts and enabled us to choose him over the entices of the flesh. Something we would be incapable of doing if left up to ourselves. Now you may say. How does he still find fault in us if this is the case? Who can resist his will? Some are predestined for hell! How is this justice? His thoughts are higher than yours. His ways are straighter than yours. We do not know what ramifications proceed from his decrees. The bible also says some men are not children of God but rather children of the Devil. Jesus says this to the Pharisees. We were included into the election by adoption through His blood. It is not because we are more righteous or worthy. It is because he is mercyful. I dont understand it, it is not something I would do. But he understands so much more than I do. All I can do is trust in Him. After the fall of adam sin so profoundly corrupted our hearts that it exchanged the glory for God to the glory of man. After all this is what the serpent used to entice them "you will be like God". From that point foreward our free will and desire to honor God was robbed from us. Now the desire of every heart was to sin and sin continually. Even if God incarnate showed himself to us we wouldnt desire Him. But praise the LORD he desired us. His love wasnt contingent upon our love of him but his love was contingent upon his mercy which is everlasting. So perhaps your next question is do you not worry about your athiest mother or brother. Let me ask you this. Who would you rather have be in control of your mothers salvation, the infinite and soverign God, or your finite and mortal mother?
