Stefan congratulations brother what an amazing win!!! I am so happy for you and hope you continue to do well as you continue in your gliding endeavours. When you talk about making a mistake and then you worry and work so hard to make up for it, then you hear about and realize that the other competitors make mistakes as well it reminds me of a quick saying. If your in Africa and you are with another person and are being chased by a man eating lion, just remember you don't need to be the fastest runner in the world, you just need to be faster than the other guy!!!
Good luck in your next adventure and having come from a family heavily involved in aviation and gliding, please be safe in all you do.

That's awesome, congrats. Your videos is what inspired me to learn how to fly a sailplane and I'm excited to get rolling with it. Moving to Italy next year and want to do a lot of flying there. Hope to meet you one day in that area in the future.

You mention the Larus variometer favorably at about 5:05: "I pulled up even harder than you are used to with an 18m glider... because I _knew_ there was lift because of my variometer..." Can you please make a video showing your installation and how you use it in flight? I think many pilots would like to understand this tech better. Thank you.
Just had a look at the results and it looks like you were tied on points with Erik Borgmann. What were the rules of how the tie was broken? Was it average position or best position (i.e. your win on day 1) or total flying time?
Forgot the totally obvious: massive congratulations!!! I always half expected you to win big but I assumed it would be in 10-15 years with loads more experience. Unbelievable performance and that final point to actually win was totally clutch. 10s slower in race 4 and you wouldn't have got that point and Erik would have won. Total nail biter (in hindsight) ... probably a good thing that you didn't know how close it was at the time!

What software are you using to visualise the tasks with tp cylinders and everything?
The software in flight which I use on my SteFly Nav is called XCSoar (OpenSoar). For visualizing the live stream they are using Silentwings and for analyzing the flight I use WeGlide ;)
@@SteFly Would it be possible to use Silentwings for paragliding comps?
