I don't want to be a downer, but that pit being dug out is probably the scrap and leftovers from when they first built the buildings trying to make it an attraction in the 50s or so. They didn't have to take stuff to an official landfill, and this practice was widespread, especially in rural areas. You'll find construction waste from initial building phase. Only terrestrial waste here...imo

Wouldnt it be logical to close a mine because of radiation? That whole region has bin used to mine plutonium the radiation even effected the natives. I would love to walk through the triangle and just meditate there to connect with what ever is there.
