@@mrsdaisymama I’m learning how to make bagels they came out good except for one thing lol, some reason on the bottom side of the bagel where the hole is it stays moist. I’m thinking I have to make the hole bigger so that way the moisture can escape. Before you bake them, you have to put them in simmering water kind of the same way when you’re making soft pretzels, which this issue never happens when I make the pretzels. Then you remove them from the water and put them on a baking sheet and bake them at 425 for 20 to 25 minutes. So I’m thinking the hole is just probably not big enough and the moisture is just sitting there. I myself have been making 80% of my food from scratch for a few years now, for the same reasons why you have started making your foods from scratch.
@@ShellyStephenoh my goodness I’ve been itching to make bagels myself! I’ve basically prohibited my husband from buying any type of bread so I’m encouraged to bake more often 😅 I’m officially invested into your bagel journey. Please let me know if you perfect that issue next time you make the holes bigger! And it’s so good to know we’re on the same page about cooking from scratch ❤
I do have an account under @mrsdaisymama but I am not active on there at the moment. Just focusing on TH-cam so I'm not distracted away from my home with too many platforms 🤗
I love your videos so far and they have been a blessing to my life as a mom of 4. I would love if you make a video about how you make time for yourself as a mom and for you and your husband as a couple. Thank you in advance !! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This makes me SO happy to hear! Praise the Lord for using me as a vessel for His glory and Kingdom ❤️ that’s a great topic, thank you for your suggestion! I definitely want to talk more about marriage and our roles as wives in future videos. ☺️
You make me feel seen!! My husband looked at me crazy for suggesting this when we first moved in together after we got married. He didn’t let me store them there but eventually they found their way “home” hahaha 😂
I normally love cooking and baking. I’m in the heatwave + high humidity in the south. My A/C went out so being in the kitchen is pretty miserable right now. Praying for Autumn to get here quickly! You’ve got a perfect little play area outside! I just found you and I have subscribed. ❤
Hi Amy!! I’d absolutely love to visit the south one day. I live in tropical weather so it’s always warm and humid here too, unfortunately I don’t have an Autumn to look forward to 😅 but I’m genuinely excited for you to have that soon because I love the cozy and cool weather. I do miss that. Thank you, I’m so grateful for our small outdoor space outside. As soon as I found out I was pregnant with my firstborn I knew I wanted to turn it into his play area. It’s a fulfillment of my vision for him to enjoy it so much now ☺️ Thank you for your support and subscribing!! ♥️
Once you get used to baking, it’ll get better. I taught myself how to bake. Next time just don’t let it over proof. Over proofing will cause it to drop in the oven. It’s happened to me before as well lol. As the years go by, you’ll just know what to do. I grew up in a Belizean household. We’re a seven household family living in a three bedroom apartment, so you truly do learn to make things work with the space you got.
Thanks so much for your advice!! Proofing is so quick in my kitchen because it's usually at least 80 degrees. That's so cool you are self taught. Totally agree you just make the space work best for you, even if it's not ideal! P.S. I've never met anybody from Belize 🇧🇿
I have a artisan loaf proofing right now! Later I will bake it in my dutch oven.. so good and super simple But when I was a new homemaker I made a lot of mistakes when cooking and baking. Just keep going, you will get better. Learn as you go and who cares if you fail. If the bread isnt all that, make grilled cheese or french toast with it.. I tried sour dough but I gave up after so many tries. Now I just bake normal bread. Thanks for the encouragement ❤
Ooooh I have yet to purchase a Dutch oven. I found one thrifting recently but the lid was cracked and I wasn’t sure if that would compromise the entire thing. I am so thankful for your encouragement ☺️ I’m glad we can both be a positive influence for the other. Thank you for making your way to this channel!! ♥️
Girl YES! We didn’t really use the oven growing up so it never really thought about it before. But totally agree, it’s extra storage space!! lol 😂 I’m glad you can relate!
Hi, I am loving your channel. It really motivate me. I am new to stay home so it’s nice to see that other moms goes through similar things. I also have few easy bread recipes I often make if uou want
After this baking fail, I’d love all the baking advice or encouragement as I learn this new homemaking skill. 🍞
What’s something new you’re learning?

Cake molds and bowls in the oven. Always have them here. Love from Brazil❤
Obrigada!! ♥️ so cool to know I’m not the only one using my oven as storage 😂
Pots and pans in my oven right now! ❤

I found an Amish bread recipe online and it turned out great. Very quick and easy.
The recipe I used was an Amish white bread too! The second attempt came out much better. It’s in my latest video actually!
My oven is home to my pots and pans too. 😂❤
I am in the same place...desiring to make things from scratch, and get back to simple and slow living ❤❤❤
I love that we have interests that align! ☺️🤗
Oven is simply an extra storage place 🎉

Welcome to my channel! It’s so great you were able to become a SAHM and homemaker. I’d love your recipes!
Hi Daisy, love your content. New subscriber here,😊
Thanks so much for your support Dawn 💕 I look forward to chatting with you some more in future videos!
After your first proof, roll out your bread and let it rise about 15 mins preheat your oven and bake❤
Thank you for the advice!! I can seriously use all of it! Please share any other tips as I share other attempts at baking. I have more coming! ☺️🍞
Your bread looks just fine if u asked me!? 🍞 maybe it's the knife? Was it too dull? ❤
