The reality is that EV cars haven't lived up to the hope of a bombastic show on a global stage EV car sales have been dropping in all the key markets and China is a different story. EVs are better than hybrids (of course on paper with the current technology). People aren't buying EVs primarily because of Lack of Charging infra, Fire incidents, Range worries, v low understanding of the tech, what if they are stranded, high upfront cost, low life of 8-10 yrs and if they are out of warranty then super expenses. EVs will take lots of time and innovation before becoming mainstream, the tech is still nascent. BTW, EVs are a big hit in 2W, 3W and small cargo vehicles. The world may see something like 25% EV penetrating by 2050 or 2060. It will be lower in India. PS (i worked with global EV companies for the last 6 years, all big OEMs).

Still EVs are the future whether there is a slow adaptation or not, the final answer is EV.

Everything in BE 6E and XEV 9 is copied from different cars in US/EU/Chinese markets.. the design, interiors, and even the Mahindra ev logo is copied ..
The brand name is 6e is copied from another company in India
And this gentleman has the audacity to come on national TV and laud it ..
The cars will sell in good numbers but don't take credit for the design ..everything is copied

Every car is a copy of another.

From the latest launches by mahindra, i have no doubt that EVs are truly better than hybrids. If we neglect the battery formation cost.
