É de salutar o interesse deste florentino, uma pessoa que se interessa pelos seus antepassados, pela alma da ilha e com isso recordar as histórias da História do povoamento da ilha. São pessoas como este Senhor que devemos abraçar, recordar e estar atentos às valoriosas palavras, sobre o manter vivo, ainda alguns lugares do povoamento da mesma. São com estas palavras que alguns conseguem descobrir os seus antepassados. Ficaremos à espera de mais 8 retalhos, um obrigado ao produtor por divulgar.
February 2015. I am delighted to share that i have now received an english translation from Mr Gomes Vieira.. with help from his nephew Carlos. I am so thankful to be able to now have an insight into the history of Flores. It is most interesting, as i knew it would be. My thanks to Frank and Carlos for taking the time to write it out in english, otherwise the valuable information in the video would not have been available to us here in NZ. Obrigado. Linda Read.

Is it possible to have an English translation of this video ? My ancestors are also from Lajes, and i know there would be so much information of interest to me in the video but unfortunately i don't speak Portuguese. I have met Mr Gomes Vieira and his wife while on Flores last yr, and it is wonderful to see him sharing his knowledge here (I just wish i could understand it.) Thankyou, Linda Read, New Zealand.
