Wow... I'm a huge fan of this truck. Looks amazing as a 3 axle rig and the new logos look extra slick. Can't complain at all about it. Awesome to see this, can't say it was something I ever expected! Great find!
Definitely digging their new trucks. Besides the power you mentioned, the exterior features are really doing it for me. I love the new cab shield, the Amrep logo is obviously the one that takes the bait on that, but it’s really cool to finally see Amrep customizing that space with the cab shield considering the packer doesn’t really go into that space like older Hardox Amreps do. The simplicity of the new WM logo compliments the entire truck pretty nicely. Oh and the newer design of top-mounted CNG tanks is really cool too, way better than the tanks that just look like boxes lol. Definitely would like to see these units pop up locally. Can’t believe I’m saying this but I wish sun valley’s fleet still had some old trucks, just so these new units can come in lol. Nice video man!
Thanks Kanyisa! The new cab shield with the logo printed in it is super cool too imo. Their new logo is growing on me though I'm still not 100% sure how I feel about it lol.The new hex mounted tanks on top are also another cool feature! I think it's becoming standard for most WM trucks since Atascadero's new side loaders have them as well. These would make a super cool addition to the fleets down in LA, though it might be awhile before Sun Valley gets anything new.
I noticed that third gen hexagon agility tank, better designed to withstand impact from trees. It’s still weird seeing Amreps with the new WM logo, they do look pretty sharp. Also it looks like Amrep tweaked their arm shape just a bit. Glad you were willing to get up early to film one of these
Thanks! Wasn't too much of a feat to film this yard, its pretty convient and easy once you learn the routes. I think the new logo looks relatively sharp on the smooth Amrep bodies, my only complaint being that I'm just not a huge fan of it being angled.
Something I've noticed and I'm not sure if it is an amrep thing, but I wonder what the multitone alarm that comes on immediately after the truck is taken out of reverse. A warning the truck is about to move forward? Most trucks the backup alarm is simply tied into the reverse light. This truck sure looks good. I love the new body style and paint scheme WM is using now. So simplistic, and it reminds me of the scheme using back in the 2000s when I was growing up with the Kanns all around.
The multitone alarm is something pretty standard across the board in WM's fleets, I'm not sure the exact purpose though. Glad you enjoyed the truck, the new logo is simple with a hint of nostalgia for sure!
Sweet! Truck looks sick. I've been able to film an Ex North Bay Corporation ACX Amrep Front Loader a few times recently, which looks really good as well.

I'm an old skool dog pitching trash for 30 plus years. I've driven Crane Carrier Corp., Dempster, Heil, Pak-Mor, Wittke, E-Z Pack, McNeilius. Our company just received our first Amrep truck on a Pete chassis . To me how a truck looks is pointless. The important thing is it driver friendly and how well it packs. This truck does not impress me. For starters this system comes with a "packed out" light that once it comes on it shuts off the auto pack. You can continue packing with the manual buttons. But the buttons are the size of baby aspirins which are hard to push bcuz I have to wear gloves to drive since we can't use spinners anymore. The panel is located just above the arm rest cubby on the rear of the dog house. It should be on top where the auto pack button and stop button are. The panel is not backlit so I have to turn on the cab light to see it. I'm fairly sure the engineers who developed this panel never pitched a can in their life. They probably thought the truck was only gonna be on the road from 8 to 5. The system has no override for sweeping the blade while a can is in the dump position. The overspeed in third gear kicks out at a hair over 1200rpm. It stays strong at 1500 rpm in 1st and 2nd but then poof in third. Then to add insult to injury, the truck has to almost come to a complete stop to reset the override. Most systems the joystick is down forks to the left and up forks to the right. The reverse is here. The outside body lights are wired in to reverse only. It needs a switch to be able to see when you need to creep the truck through a tight gate opening or for closing the customers gate after service. Again, they thought the truck was only gonna be on the road from 8 to 5. The "Third-Eye Cameras" that came with this truck are nothing to write home about. The cameras have no off or dim setting for night driving. System is locked to where hopper camera is on until you hit reverse and reverse camera comes on. You can not jump to reverse camera to see what is going on behind you while you are stopped at a light. And the blind side camera mounted by passenger door can't be accessed either. What is the point of having a camera if you can't use it? Maybe it was put on there to look cool. There is other things that I personally find useless but I think my laptop is running out of ink.

@@socalgarbagetrucks Around here the multitone alarm is usually a tailgate alarm, from what I've seen. Kann Trucks have them as the back up alarm.
