The idea that Amanda was the one who saved him in the dumpster is beautiful and tragic as Will's mom died in childbirth and he was left alone. From that point on, she knew she watched over him since that faithful day. Can't wait for season 2.
Given that it was Will's investigation that put Evelyn out of the Atlanta PD, its amazing how they have routed this relationship so far out and about this season.
Do you find their portrayal of foster care accurate? Is abuse from foster parents really that prevalent? I mean no offense, just genuinely curious, if you do not feel comfortable responding I understand. Thank you
Love this show for a lot of reasons, one of them is the care and attention given to the complicated relationship between Evelyn, Will, and Faith. It is shown clearly over the season both why Faith respects her so deeply, and also why Will was very much in the right to have investigated her, leading to her dismissal.
Spoilers.... I rewatched the whole season and i love the subtlety in foreshadowing this moment. The episode when will went missing in the back of the white supremely racist men's truck and then seeing Amanda's concern. The episode with the white little boy and will asking the social worker if it was a "good home" they wanted to place the little, white boy in. Amanda's discomfort at hearing how will was abused. Her guilt. All so very gut-wrenching.
Especially Will and Faith's becoming cousins I would normally say oh they became siblings but they always had that opposite cousins who love to hang out vibe about them
Please don't let some evil maternal uncle rear its ugly head in the 2nd series/season. The lawyer said that Lucy had a brother. If the brother isn't going to be a positive influence on will's/guillermo's🤣 life, then I don't want to see him.
He’s a grown ass man whose a cop who survived the foster system. not some impressionable 10 year old desperate for a role model. So if he has a “evil uncle” he would tune his ass up lol
This explains why i felt like Faith and Will acted like cousins through out the entire season Will was raised by strict Aunt Mandy and Faith was raised by go with the flow Aunt Evelyn 😂
Man this and the scene with his mom had me in tears.
Me too 😢
Can you tell me what this show is about?
Damn how different his life would’ve been if Amanda had become his mom. 😢 I’m ready for the the next season!
But then Angie would've had no one to help her

This made me cry so very hard. He is sooo much in this show. They all are. How amanda has loved him, from the beginning. Made my heart cry
Will may not have had a good childhood, but his childhood is what made him a darn good detective and without it where would he be

Read the books you'll learn that and more about the characters
Ripped my heart this scene. Poor will and Amanda. 😭😭😭😭

I felt the gut punch when she told him Amanda’s last name was Trent.
It was Amanda mom’s last name
As a former foster youth I'm loving this show.

@@gen3708 Yes, I find the portrayal accurate. Yes, abuse is not uncommon in foster care.
How many have come here 20 times?
I really have come to truly enjoy Will Trent!!! I look forward to Season 2!!!❤❤❤❤

Amanda loves Will like her own. I think she's suffered just as much as Will, just in different ways.
I love how she called him "Special Agent" as a way to remind him the reason he became a cop was because of Amanda.
Love me some will trent
Guillermo Morales!*🤣😍
great casts
so there's 2 bad bitches her and Betty lol.
"She may have been your mother boy, but she wasn't your mommy. I'm sorry I didn't do it right, I'm damn lucky you's my boy."
