I think this hat is literally the best thing I’ve ever seen anyone make and I’m not even being facetious…the fact that it’s all made from one material, and every part looks like a different material blows me away, the colors are perfect, the watercolor technique is something I never knew I needed in my life, and the cel shading is out of this world! Truly congrats on this Steve, it’s freakin’ amazing!
Looks amazing! Your talents really shine on this one - making a 3-D object based on an animated character can't be easy. You & your daughter must have a lot of fun doing cosplay together.
I absolutely love this and find it so sweet that you made this for your daughter! Borderlands is something my dad and I bonded over and although he’s not a prop maker he was so proud when I made my Tiny tina costume back when I was 13! Almost 7 years later I’m making my gaige costume and my dads still my biggest fan, I sent him this video and we were both in awe of your skills!
I’m so glad you made this! I’m working on a hat for I-No from guilty gear, and this shape is very similar to hers! Thank you so much you’ve made my life so much easier
I normally nag you for tips and tricks on your videos, either for fabrication or for painting, and at one point you did say that you were crazy fast at fabricating, but damn Steve, if there were any doubts, this video just showed you are a "beast" at painting!!!
Absolutely amazing work on this; I'll go ahead and file it under the category of "I now know full well how to make this and am still years away from being able to pull even a fraction of this off"
I've been looking forward to this build video since you showed off some of the images on social media. It looks so good, Steve! I especially love how those lenses of the rabbit eyes look! Along the lines of painterly styles, have you seen Arcane yet? All of the textures on the models have a high-end concept art feel, and there are some fun props in there that I think would look dope from you, given your painting expertise, if you're looking for any ideas. Keep up the stellar work as always, man!
I’ve always made my props with resin & bondo which obviously doesn’t work well for everything and I’ve wanted to get into using foam. Do you have a rotary tool video? I get scared to use it bc I have no idea what I’m doing haha
I use my rotary tool in pretty much ever video but specifically watch. How to cosplay using eva foam, my review of the Wen rotary tool, and my how to make the ultimate sanding drums
I think the main thing to take away from that is why are you in costume at 0 degrees. I’ve never had an adhesive fail in the cold but I don’t leave the house when it gets to freezing.
Yesterday I was inspired by Wonderlands to check out some diy videos on witch hats like Tina’s and found your original witch hat video. Loved it and subscribed. Now just 1 day later, you post this vid for the actual hat from the game. Lol totally perfect! ^~^
I'm just a few seconds in, but I have to say that I'm so taken back by the paint job. I know that it's real object, but at the same time it looks straight out a the game.
@@SKSProps thank you so much, how long did it take you to finish?? I have a con for September and im not sure if ill have enough time to make it all nice

your painting skills always leave me amazed since it adds so much depth.
Thank you so much!
I will always be amazed at your Borderlands painting, man. It's so on point, like it was grabbed right out from the game.
Thank you very much! probably spending to much time in the games 😅

Are you the same Matt Cox I'm thinking you are?
Thank you very much! One of my favorite things is to show how versatile foam can be for a variety of different looks
Trying post a pic of my build

@@SKSProps Will do! I watched the sanding drum video but I’ll check out the others :) thanks!
Can you make the template bigger or smaller for different head sizes and will it also work for that witch hat from months ago?
Yes you just adjust your sizing in adobe acrobat or adobe reader
It’s similar to the witch hat but a little different
Any idea why all these adhesives come undone when they get colder than 0°f? Do you know anything that holds at this temp?
I think the main thing to take away from that is why are you in costume at 0 degrees. I’ve never had an adhesive fail in the cold but I don’t leave the house when it gets to freezing.
U're super talented really 😍
Thank you so much 😀
Amo as artes que vc faz
E ainda mais disponibiliza as legendas em português BR para ficar mais fácil de aprender
Muito obrigado mestre !!!!!!!
Thank you very much!
As always, amazing!
Thank you!
Is this hat part of a full costume? If so, please share it!
I saw someone wearing this at Phoenix Fan Fusion, was that your daughter? 😂 great build love it!
Not my kid but a lot of people have been making it based on my templates 👍

Fckin amazing bro!!
Appreciate it!
hell yes
Thanks!
How many sheets of HD foam were used??
If you get one of each size 2,4,6,10 and 1 pack of dowels you’ll have plenty left over after the build
