As I've mentioned in the video, you'll need to go and view your own music notes, as the ones you get will be unique to your own playthrough. As such, you'll need to read the book in the checkpoint room to get your own music notes, and enter them like I show after the other steps in the video. The music notes are shown on the puzzle, and you input that note by raising the peg for that column. If there's a line/dash, simply skip that peg.
When I go through the faithless thicket, the red door is locked same as the one where the door is at the forbidden grove checkpoint. I can't get through it to pull the lever to continue with the harp puzzle ,any ideas or suggestions please?
There's probably a side-path that you might be missing then. If this section is part of your world, there's always a way to loop around, usually along the main path, or through a dungeon

@Esoterickk quick update, you was right about looping around but it was a hard slog, I had to go through the nameless nest and beat the mother mind boss and then after that it looped me to the lever 😂 thanks again.
I THOUGHT THE LINE MEANT STRETCH IT PLAY IT TWICE OR SOME SHIT. FML
when the devs assume everyone understands how to read music notes.
My biggest gripe is the piss poor instruction. The lines mean no note, not pegs....
It’s in a book on a bench in the room under the water contraption. That’s how I found it

@@yungSheldon8312 Argee that Puzzle need to be somewhat of a challenge and I do enjoy a good puzzle. But damn how am I supposed to solve a puzzle that was design for people who have knowledge on music while I'm not. At that point the instruction is just pointless cuz is just like you only speak English but I tell you to solve a puzzle in Chinese with the instruction written in Chinese. The devs should have know this already and they should design a puzzle that don't require a specific set of knowledge to be able to solve it.

For anyone who overthought this puzzle, the 1 vertical line and the 2 vertical lines at the end of each set of notes do not count. They are just decorative, got stuck way to long thinking they counted as part of the music, but they do not.

Everyone who can’t start it, you need to power it first. See the cables leading too the water wheel above the nearby checkpoint? You must first process through the Primary Objective, until you finally loop around and activate the Water Wheel which gives the Water Harp power.
TLDR: Progress the primary objective until you activate the Water Wheel, that gives the harp power
after 30 long minutes of trying i see this 🤦🏼♂️

saying the lines are of no note confused the hell out of me. I was wondering where you got the gap between notes lol. so if anyone else does this, the horizontal lines mean no notes for the next row.
For anyone who has no idea about the music note step:
Step 1, pick the diary note at the checkpoint (Have to do thing since the notes are randome each playthought).
Step 2, take a screenshot of the symbol notes at 1st page. Unless u can remember all of them.
Step 3, match every single symbol from the page with the symbols on the music device. Do this from left to right. From above to below. Press F to put a note on targeted symbol.
** CAUTION: Even the horizontal lines within symbols in the page are count for "nothing", this means you must remove all activated notes on that current phase before matching next symbols (Press F to remove the false notes). **
Step 4, Pull the level on the left nearby.
Yooo, thanks man. I was missing the part where line simbols count as nothing in the puzzle and you need to skip that line.
@@xabiermorales7781 Not skip. U gotta erase any available note appears on that phase. In fact, all phases have a note as default.

It’s 1-1 2-4 3-7 4-2 5-5 first number is line across second row down. Also after doing this the flute guy gave me a scroll of binding

@@I_W8N I know, tried to mimick it myself, and figured it had to be written down somewhere. Spent multiple hours - first thing I have looked up so far, I don't really want to spoil it for myself and shorten the game.. Just wondered if you figured it out yourself by listening or looked it up / found a reference in game for it.

If that wheel is not rolling after the notes are set, you should go activate it at the second floor from the check point.
You are a fucking god, I've been stuck for so long even after watching tutorials confused as to why the wheel is not spinning even though everything is 100% correct, and thanks to you I realized I was an idiot and passed a very (not)obvious level that was one main key to this puzzle, thank you!
There is a door, is it in there? This is really annoying me
Man, how do I open that door that leads to the first lever. I looped around and opened one locked door, but there's still a locked door right next to it. Been searching the whole area and can't find the path.
I feel like there's more to this music box puzzle the pan is playing music pretty loud to be coincidence there's a circle right next to it and I've seen hidden items in those circles before so I'm assuming there's something more to do here

DONT THINK ABOUT THE SYMBOLS AND WHAT THEY MEAN. LOOK AT THE BOOK AND RAISE THE PEG THE BOOK SAYS FIRST. THEN IF THERE IS A LINE ( ------ ) AFTER IT IN THE BOOK THAT MEANS YOU SKIP THE ROW AND GO ONE MORE DOWN. THEN ENTER THE NEXT PEG AT THE SYMBOL IT SAS IN THE BOOK. IF A LINE OMES AFTER IT YOU LEAVE ALL THE PEGS SO THE WHOLE ROW OF THE 5 PEGS AND GO ONE UNDER THE EMPTY ROW AND PUT THE NEXT PEG THAT HAS THE SYMBOL THAT IS IN THE BOOK. THE SYMBOLS ONLY MEAN WICH PEG YOU NEED TO RAISE AND THE LINES (-----) MEAN TO SKIPONE ROW COMPLETLY AND RAISE THE NEXT UNDER THE EMPTY ROW

Follow this EXACTLY as it pertains to your specific book of notes. Thanks, this made it much more clear
Here are the notes for the 2nd song (Credit goes to Rutledge Daugette with TechRaptor):
Row 1: First Peg
Row 2: Fourth Peg
Row 3: Skip (No Peg)
Row 4: Second Peg
Row 5: Fifth Peg
Row 6: Skip (No Peg)
Row 7: Third Peg
Row 8: Skip (No Peg)
After that, you will notice a pillar pop up nearby with the Bolt Driver handgun. And talk to the musician to get the Scroll of Binding crafting material.
Set the video speed to 0.25 around the time he does the music puzzle.

So many people are confused. I watched this video once and I instantly got it, and my notes were different. Read the instructions at the top carefully. Helpful video btw, thanks!!
Notes are easy to understand in the book inside the house on a table. You skip a peg after the note with a __ behind the note. It’s just basic directions, but everyone will have different notes. Just have to progress through a square door not a side dungeon arc looking one to turn on power… but I only started 3 days ago and finished dream weaver 2x for melee and nightfall weapons and also the labyrinth cube and electric gun
Bro you are trippin and way outta line here if you think this is basic directions. They don't tell anyone that the lines are skip. They don't tell you what represents a skip on the machine. They don't LET YOU KEEP THE NOTES IN A JOURNAL of some sort. You have to run back and forth and remember. They don't explain is basically backwards left to right. They don't tell you you have to power it up. Nothing about this is basic!!! Unless you have music background. Ridiculous take here....... basic lolol sure hud

I am a musician, but I am mostly play by ear. I never learned how to read notes or sheet music. Started off with the guitar and realized I could listen to songs and with some practice we able to play it back, so I eventually just gave up on what the book was trying to tell me memorized the sounds of the notes, and it worked like a charm. Lol.

I came here because I got confused, I don’t know how to read music so I was just like “wtf am I looking at here” turns out it was simple, but man this puzzle was pretty odd, creative but odd.
(Also, I’m pretty sure the notes are the same for everyone, as I got the exact same ones you have in the video.

No, that's why I show that you have to read the book to find your own music notes. They're inside the checkpoint room, see what notes they are, and do them for your own puzzle

I've progressed the whole way through and come back around to the checkpoint near the music note book - but I can't get that door open? What am I missing?
@@tHeHuntzilla93 No as in progress with the main objective! you will do dungeons and eventually one of the main objective dungeons will lead you Back to this area where you need to play the notes but you will come from behind the door, you will then pull the lever then head towards that door and open it and will then be able to go back into the room where the notes are.
I stay in book zon and dooes are closed, and cant open.

What do you do if it’s glitched? Same notes as the video same exact placement and it won’t work. I’ve looped through and pulled the level to power it as well.
How do you unlock that freaking door. I already defeat every boss in forbidden grove and all the secrets. i can't seems to find that location to unlock the door and go fight the ravager. Its driving me crazy lol

It will scale with your overall weapon level, so if all your weapons are around needing the galvanised iron, they'll start to appear

I know that puzzles are made to make you think but I think in this game is not to much intuitive and I’m not talking about this puzzle,I’m talking in general,the shadows and symbols puzzle for example in the dungeon,you have a clue book where you can read about the puzzle but they way the book is narrated it’s so weird,I was about to leave the game honestly when I tried this puzzle,and the puzzle was not hard but the way the put the clue in the book feels like one drunk man wrote it,if I’m wrong correct me.
