- Megan Young's full performance during Miss World Philippines 2013 coronation night. Held on August 18 at Solaire Resort & Casino, Parañaque City, Philippines. Young was later crowned as Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia, making her the first woman from the Philippines to win the title of Miss World since its creation in 1951.

i think we are not shocked why she won because she has a log of award.
Both Megan and Cartriona were no. 20 on their national pageant. Both received majority of the awards and then the eventual winners. They made the Philippines proud by winning MW and MU!
No filipina beauty queen can be compared to Megan she's beautiful, smart,a good host and she won Philippines first MW crown for the first time in 62 years.

Hopefully, Catriona Gray is the Philippines' second Miss World titleholder and the Philippines joining Venezuela as the only countries to win all Big Four international beauty pageant titles twice.
GMA Network has done a much better job with Miss World Philippines under Cory Quirino than GMA's Binibining Pilipinas-World under Stella Araneta.
Why? Araneta sent 19 candidates to Miss World when GMA aired BB Pilipinas from 1992 to 2010. Araneta had only six girls placed including three runner-up finishes from Ruffa Gutierrez in 1993 (2nd RU), Maria Yunon in 2003 (4th RU) and Maria Bautista in 2004 (4th RU).
So far in Quirino's Miss World Philippines under GMA after Julia Morley awarded the franchise to Quirino in 2011, all five girls were placed including Gwen Ruais 1st runner-up finish in 2011 and Young's title in 2013.
