Absolutely love the guy who sings Sex Is On Fire. It takes such charisma and stage presence to casually throw the mic towards the crowd and have the whole audience light up

@Koakoa45 his song lyrics literally said "... it's just for tonight". Probably went on to spread some positive vibes and dip, which, in a way, probably aided him into putting in as much charisma and freedom into his performance as he did.
Rock singers should be recognized more, their voices go through so much. Their energy is technically from their soul- and the presence they bring lights up the whole room.

The world has turned to sissy, everybody either wants a dude that can sing like a girl or a guy that sings luvvy dubby songs. Our hair days are long gone unless they approve of someone coming on doing pit style music, and they won't allow that cause the world has gone sissy. Too many snowflakes that don't want grunge, they want soft stuff to stimulate the young folks into being adults b4 their time. Our bands come from the garage, not from a stage in front of ppl that know nothing but soft. The only hard folks left are from the 80s, were all that's left, the Gov along with media influence and snowflakes as created a blizzard that we don't belong out in. All I can say is hold on to your metallica and Megadeath CDs, cause that and the korn is all were all left with. Let's you know where our world is headed, bunch of broke wrist sissy singers. And I'm sure I'll get a lot of whip lash for my comment, but it will only reinforce my comment of all the snowflakes within the blizzard.

If you're trying to imply that the performance as a whole is not impressive, please post a video where you do that type of powerful screaming/belting and still hitting the notes perfectly.

I think Jamie Archer really embodies what it means to be a performer, to engage the crowd and get them pumped up like that is an unbelievable skill.

I don't know what you guys think, but Jamie Archer's (the second one) performance brings back so much of nostalgia. Cannot put it in words, it's feels very own. May be because it's 12 years old, it's like our childhood comes back everytime I watch this performance.

Yeah and all his artists had their 30 mins of fame and are now transferring record labels or transferring management. He’s way over himself.
He was the only one that never sugar coated and gave straightforward judgment and knew how to be truthful to children /teens without hurting them!!! At least most of the times ... There were times he was a bit too rude... But I still love his personality and I can't say more because I don't know him personally...

It's crazy how these artists can project energy that elevates the song to next level 🔥
girl who did zombie…lord she is the embodiment of delivering the energy and having an amazing performance. and to those who’ll say “she sounds awful! she’s just screaming! she’s shouting!” she’s using a technique called vocal fry which gives her the rasp. she has excellent control of it especially with the high notes which are harder to do with the fry incorporated. a vocal fry can be very damaging if not done correctly and it’s very difficult to fully master. AND she was jumping and dancing around which takes a lot of breath. the amount of BREATH CONTROL that she has is impeccable. it’s also very hard to hit those notes in a full chest voice/belt and she did it flawlessly. PLUS it’s not her native language. she isn’t a pop singer so stop judging her like she is one. she is an embodiment of female rock vocalist.
I rarely like females singing rock but she did incredible I loved loved loved her voice. The beginning was rocky but she killed it.
I loved her, but I'd like to correct you on that one thing, it wasn't fry she was using at all, just simple distortion gained by adding pressure behind the vocal tract, which is gained as you pointed out with sheer breath control. Still agree that her performance and technique were on point and gave an outstanding performance.
Listen to the original, this woman did the musical equivalent of taking a sharpie to the Mona Lisa, the song lost all meaning...

Not only because of his voice, but because he recognized that the judges weren't as into as he wanted them to be so he put more energy into his performance and even involved the crowd a little. In the end, he had Simon Cowell singing along, which is no easy feat. I hope he's making it far in the world. Truly a talented man.

4:30 I legit started feeling, not tearing up, but feeling emotional. There was SO much power in her voice but not in "volume"? Like she's "screaming" but not in a way that blows our eardrums out. It's very contained and controlled and beautiful.
