Jerry Harway the thing about this anime is that the music is far unique than those you’ve pointed out, and this show actually shows more emotional feels than any of those (laughter, sadness, anger, relief), Samurai champloo is far 100x more better than the “bullshit” you pointed out, so do all of us a favor and shut the hell up.
People played like total dicks in early baseball. And football. And American football. It's why we have so many rules about what you CAN'T do. People did everything they could think of, which is a lot of stuff. You get people playing a sport and they will come up with all kinds of heinous things you wouldn't think of to do to mess with the other team and generally win. Even with our current "don't slide into people, they could get HURT" style, people are always pushing it and being obnoxious strategically. Why? It wins ballgames.

@@DrunkenDarkSoul I'm quite sure that Funimation had the permission to use the same music as the sub. I've never heard of the SamCham dub having music censored before. They even got to use "El Nino" from Olive Oil (the music that plays when Mugen is throwing the ball and taking out the Americans)
Boondocks started back in 1999 as a comic, before Samurai Champloo was released. Not only that, but the creator of Boondocks, Aaron McGruder, was influenced by anime in general.
AstroPopo a lot of the original music was cut out probably due to budget or Internationale legal matters and I think the fancy pitch didnt make sense without the music so it got cut too. "Aurain dance" played a little but my favorite "Feather" is not in the English version of this episode. nor was "Fly"
Joe Pecina I've actually never watched the original Japanese dub for this, I own the English version and those fancy pitches are certainly still there, along with the accompanying music. I was just wondering why the uploader of this video would choose to cut it out, because I can't think of any reasons to do so.

The fact they resorted to making episodes about a mushroom trip and baseball, makes me think they were running out of ideas. The story was already complete. Haha
I would play a video game like this. Baseball, but you're also sometimes trying to annihilate the other players. "Did you get the baseball ending or the killing ending?"
got to add in the time it was when we was at war with japan maybe a bit before or after but around that time so it would make sense that we would be that way giving the fact we are that way with Muslims in usa
Its probably supposed to be similar since the creator of The Boondocks said that one of his main inspirations was Samurai Champloo (As well as Cowboy Bebop).
Best filler episode ever in any anime.
Petyr Wilson I am 3 years late and maybe I'm feeling nostalgic, but the DBZ Goku and Piccolo driving filler episode is on par with this in my opinion.
Brandon K. Funny enough, dragon ball super almost had a baseball episode.
This isn't filler

How does this anime knows American culture? It's what Rickettes said from Red Dead redemption. "What a great way to prove border relation."
