Mike Ross with that Thor technology! Hulk was putting in that work against MSS and I have to say that I am impressed by his improvement at the game. Its really good.

Exactly. Mike Ross does worlds better at slower paced fighting games like SF4/SFxT with bigger, slower characters. Marvel's built for a certain type of player mindset and playing one on one fighting games exclusively makes the transition mentally challenging for a lot of players. It's why even legendary Japanese players like Diago get bodied at Marvel 3 despite tons of practice. They're still going into the game with that "SF4" mindset.
Trash talk is part of the scene. If you drop some names and sling some mud you generate so much hype. It's unreal.
I'm not really into UMvC3 or SFxT all that much so I usually don't watch Runnin' Sets, but--real talk--I could listen to Mike Ross and Fanatiq shoot the shit all day. Like, it wouldn't even have to be playing fighting games.

That video was probably from mvc3. In umvc3 spencer got buffed hard and now everybody has him on their team. Combofiend probably doesn't even think he has the best one anymore.

Hey Mike. You know hulk has this nifty diagonal move called gamme charge he can use to cancel out of standing strong to make it safe. You should give it a shot.

Please do a Fanatiq and Combofiend video. I'd love to see the master of Spencers trash talk Fanatiqs, especially since I remember Fiend saying "I'm the only one who uses Spencer" in a previous running sets.
damn fanatiq's spencer is so good. i know spencer is high tier but this spencer is on a completely different level.
Anyone with eyes can tell the guy leveled up, and since you seem to think hitting ABC S BBC gunshot makes you pro, I'll go ahead and let you know that neutral game is about 80% of the game while 20% is the flashy combos. The reason Mike Ross lost those five in a row is because whenever he got locked down he hit buttons and whenever he super jumped he got crossed under. It's because the game is full of one hit KOs that neutral game is so important and he really just needs to practice for damage.
Cool news for pad players characters that have single button charge moves like zero and vergil. If you map a button as L+M+H and hit it and hold it at the same time you press any other normal attack button then press down(think wave dashing), the game will make you dash, but you will be holding a charge, however the cool part is that you still have access to all three normal attacks. This trick only works on PS3 dual shock pads, it would not work on Arcade stick(Hori or TE) or 360 pad.

fucking Spencer that guy is everywhere now. everybody just "HOPPED ON THE BANDWAGON" AND STARTED USING HIM. they don't use him because they like the character (like Combofiend does) they use him because they finally realized how good he is.

Maybe I'm completely off, but it seems like Mike lacks in tech basically. For example, when he's baiting with Hulk assist he could probably follow up (if it hits) with up-charge with Thor and go into mighty tornado.

The worst part about 3:43 is that hulk would have still beat out bionic arm with just the super armor on his gamma charge.
hes known for ssf4. ae honda got nerfed, so he didnt cope well with changes. he isnt known for marvel, but hes pretty good, and he is good at sfxt but the game is still new
Speaking of thinking before you speak, in response to @mcdermott1989 , not all people who play on stick are obsessive. That's a misconception. Personally, i play on stick because it feels more comfortable. People use what they feel comfortable with.

That's not necessarily true, as I grew up playing games in the arcade, but I just have better/more important things to spend $150 on than a fightstick. I just learned to adapt to controller, and it's actually much easier for characters like vergil and zero because you get a one button dash and charge on the shoulder buttons.

I hate bashing people that are new but you should look into fanatic. He's pretty famous in FGC history.
No one, not even every actor I've ever seen, does the straight face as well or as hilariously as Mike Ross (4:40).
There is no strategy to zoning with Morrigan. Fireball Fly Unfly Fireball x900000, adding Hidden Missiles assist on cooldown. No thought required, just input the buttons and you win 95% of the time.
The only players I've ever seen successfully navigate the gauntlet are in my opinion the 2 best players in the world, Justin Wong and MarlinPie.
