Bella I get loving OR. I live in Wisconsin now, but grew up in OR right outside of Portland when my dad’s job moved us out there. It’s absolutely beautiful there and Multnomah Falls is GORGEOUS and has a magical bridge in front. We lived about 20 mins from it and used to visit all the time. You should look it up. My brother still lives out there.

I'm gonna be 68 soon and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. What I have learned is to keep doing what I love. I work in aquatics now and didn't learn to swim until I was nearly 40. Life has a way of putting opportunities in our paths if we just stay open to them. I love what I do and I feel it makes a difference in the lives of those I work with so I'm going to just keep opening those doors and letting opportunities walk into my life.

Everyone is definitely different , some kids know what they want in life at a young age, and some will end up with jobs they hate for the rest of their life. I am on the end of the “ hate my job” while my son who is 15 already has it planned out for what he wants to do - Astrophysics and minor in music. I envy those with jobs they love.

I'm always amazed how Krystal/Aaron are okay with the kids not going to college and making their own choices. In my friend group, all of our parents were like, "we decided for you when you were born that you're going to college, and you're going." I don't have a single friend that didn't go. In fact, in my graduating class, only 2% of students didn't attend at least one year of university. As hard of a choice as it is for parents to let your kids be themselves, at the end of the day, it is their life, and the decisions we all make, good or bad, will affect us the way they do, but it's part of living and growing up and being an adult. There isn't just one way to live life.
As far as career choices for a future, I think the next few years, it will become more clear what you really want to do, and it can completely change from what you are thinking now. As far as attending college, it is not easy, but it will probably be one of the best choices you can make and also, some of the best memories. It can be soooo exciting. Bella, Oregon is beautiful, but so is Washington State. So many exciting things to do and beautiful country. Especially on the west side of the state and the mountains. Crystal and Aaron, if you think some of their answers are surprising or shocking, wait until they are in their 30's or older. All the stories will come out because they are not afraid of getting in trouble anymore. You will wonder how they ever made it out alive! I loved hearing from the teenagers!

As hard of a choice as it is for parents to let your kids be themselves, at the end of the day, it is their life, and the decisions we all make, good or bad, will affect us the way they do, but it's part of living and growing up and being an adult. There isn't just one way to live life.
As far as career choices for a future, I think the next few years, it will become more clear what you really want to do, and it can completely change from what you are thinking now. As far as attending college, it is not easy, but it will probably be one of the best choices you can make and also, some of the best memories. It can be soooo exciting. Bella, Oregon is beautiful, but so is Washington State. So many exciting things to do and beautiful country. Especially on the west side of the state and the mountains. Crystal and Aaron, if you think some of their answers are surprising or shocking, wait until they are in their 30's or older. All the stories will come out because they are not afraid of getting in trouble anymore. You will wonder how they ever made it out alive! I loved hearing from the teenagers!

Bella most of the waterfalls in Oregon are part of state parks so I don’t know how close you would be able to build a house to them.
