I was very impressed that she gained a pretty good accent.
She’s very young and will definitely get better quick. Especially since she’s surrounded by the other girls. Taking lessons and speaking English everyday in her life will make her fluent

love this type of video and how it’s showing everyone’s culture and upbringing. a lot of kids have felt embarrassed or have been bullied for the food they bring into school for lunch (as lara also mentioned) because it’s different or has a unique smell. seeing this video felt kinda healing haha, seeing the girls be so excited to try everyone’s food without any judgement. we need more of that! also, yoonchae’s english has gotten so so good!! excited for katseye’s future 🫶🫶

Yes omg I was just saying this! I’m actually doing a whole art project with paper dolls from different cultures! I’m gonna highlight the traditional clothing, games and food! I wanna highlight why they do what they do and give people insight. As I know growing up it can be hard having a different lunch or traditions than others! So this video inspired me even more!

My favorite part was when Yoonchae read her mom’s note and all the members went “awwwww” (without understanding) and Dani spoke what was on everyone’s mind and said “what’d she say?” 😂

Sounds like shes teaching them some Korean words and culture. I was impressed that the girls were saying korean words unprompted and knew about kimchi and kimbap even before they debut in Korea. Very cute to see them embrace eachother.

I'm pretty positive that YoonChae is soon gonna be a perfect bilingual, probably in 1.5 to 2 years.
What amazed me so much was her accent, let alone her fluency, which sounded almost like Native American's.
Right??? Im just waiting to see what the "she cant even speak english so why did she debut!!!!" People have to say now, or the "its going to take her such a long time go learn the language" i hate how people pretend like the best form of learning a language isnt by being fully immerses in the language.

I love how you can see the nuance behind all of their cultural backgrounds in the things that they eat, considering that a lot of them have nationalities that don’t fully match their ethnicities! Like Lara with her palak paneer in tandem with her caprisun, Versus yoonchae with a fully Korean lunchbox. You really get such a clear and distinct vibe from each of them, which is what makes me love them as a group!

I’m 33 and when I say this kinda healed all my gradeschool lunchtime trauma. Someone was always making a hurtful comment about the Caribbean dishes my mom packed, even my “friends”. So I’d just starve until school was over. I LOVE how everyone happily took interest in this video and maybe that will translate to the current generation of grade schoolers that not everyone eats the same thing and that’s ok.
so I'm not the only one over 30 here.... thank god I thought I was losing my mind!

I'm so glad we're finally getting some longer content with all the girls! Who did the editing lol? It was so funny (the American flag and eagle took me out). Hope they edit future videos too. Also all the food looks soo good and I'd gladly try all of it.
Considering English is not her first language, Manon's English is native speaker-level. She sounds like she's from the United States.
I think it is also easier to adapt because Switzerland is a multilingual country, from a young age they must learn at least one other national language (in addition to their native one) and one foreign language (generally English).
@@romabri6069 What surprises me is how natural she sounds. She doesn't have a "foreign" accent at all. I wonder if her English was this good 2 years ago.
while we all do learn English and another national language (she is from Zürich i think, so probably French), not all speak it that well.
but some of my uni friends who grew up in Zürich said that they would often speak English among each other, so that is possibly another reason for her great English.

So exited by the contents of Kateyes, I was made hungry by the sight of so much food.
Was so hyped for Lara's lunchbox and she did NOT disappoint! BASMATI RICE
Here's an idea for a future video: KATSEYE plays video games. The girls could play group games like pico park, party animals, and gang beasts. You could even throw in a prize or something. I think we'd love to see that kind of content and the girls would have a lot of fun bonding (if they don't lose their minds with pico park lol).
For another video, you could have the girls play popular board games from each of their childhoods. It would be great to see them learn about different games from different cultures. You could even combine the two ideas into a 2 part sleepover games series or something.
Lara is so real for the soan papdi, my mom would give me a piece in my lunch when i was a kid too
this is so healing from my trauma with bringing a ‘smelly lunch’ into school as a kid 😭😭
