Thank you very much, Jardy! I want all dancers to subscribe to your series of videos. For those who want to improve their dancing, yours are the most practical ones. Really innovative attempt on TH-cam !!
All my years of dancing, I finally found out something about myself. I dont like to go out my comfort zone, which is what you described as the underlying beat, the basic rhythm. I've learned and mastered just about every move you posted up, I can connected them smoothly effortlessly, but only with in that basic rhythm. Thanks to these musicality videos, I now have something to challenge myself with, to get out of my comfort zone and dance to the other parts of the music. Thanks Jardy. Lofting?
Hey!! :D Man I've been watching your tutorials for more than one year, I'm from Brazil and I wish you keep showing to the world the art of House Dancing. Peace !
If I could add this to favorites twice, I would. And DAMN I wish I had youtube coming up! I used to have to sit there by the vcr, on the ready during music videos to be able to capture good dance moves, and there was never a guarantee. Nice work Jardy.
@apostybboy It's great that you learned a something to challenge yourself with. As for lofting, I will get to the whole style someday. I will start putting ways to put together floor moves in the near future though, but just know that the floor moves are only part of the lofting style. The tops are also different from styles like footwork and jacking.
Hi Jardy , I want to say thank you for puut all ur house dance tutorials ! you are amazing ! and can i have the title of the music in your examples please ?! xx
EXACTLY. That's why when you connect with the music, you almost have a sixth sense as to what's coming up next even if you've never heard the song before. Everything is (should be) rhythmic and should make sense as a whole. Otherwise, it's like "wtf man, this song doesn't make sense, was it created by a child?" haha. Thanks for the input.
dayuuummm... OH DAYUUUUMM! Nice shoes... you should let me try some on... looks like my size. haha jk. Thanks for the upload and teaching Jardy! :) Mucho love
Haha I'm literally in my garage right now writing these things down and practicing, but hey what's the name of the song you used in the Rhythm and Musicality only examples?
@prbarzoy yeah, sign up to my mailing list on my website. It's free, dude. The mailing list just serves as a better way for me to communicate to people, so don't be scurred. :)
Elements in a song besides drums and beats are really just as rhythmic. These other parts are often repetitious is what makes it rhythmic. You could look at it as the negative space between beats. PROPER house music has this. Everything in a song should be able to be interpreted by dance in some sort of way. If its not really like that than whoever made the track is really just going off the CLICHE aspects of house and not being concious of the reality that it is supposed to be dance music.
I like how you’re able to explain what we’re feeling with music while dancing. Good job.
