Stylish retexturing! Some of the courses gain more from the simple textures than others tho and the drivers seem a bit small, but it's fine for what it is! The only thing that caught my attention was the Paper Mario Peach castle window. I think the graphics of her from the SMW credits image would have fit nicely here. In any case, a cool texture mod that completely changes the feel of the game!
I love how they kept DK Jr from Super Mario Kart that's really cool. I also love how they replaced Koopa Troopa with Wario since this is a mod of Mario Kart 64. Although I'm surprised that they never brought back DK Jr in any of the Mario Kart or sports games that just disappoints me a lot (although they technically brought him back in Mario Tennis 64 but I wonder when exactly they'll bring him back in a modern Mario game).
I love these "what if" mods. I think my favorite is the Mario 64 one that made the models look like the 90's promotional art. Really makes you imagine if like the N64 DD was successful or if some other console came before the Gamecube that had campy cgi akin to edutainment games. I like to think it would be called the N-Drive 128 or something
Also, I wish they would've brought back the courses from Super Mario Kart instead of the ones from Mario Kart 64 since it has all the textures and characters (except Wario instead of Koopa Troopa) from Super Mario Kart. Lastly, can you please make a playlist of all the DK 64 rom hack videos that you have made in the past man??
you know what kind of MK64 mod i wanted? one where the racer models are ripped with a decent resolution from later games (like MKWii) so they don't appear blurry when they're close to the screen.
In Mario Kart 64 and Super Circuit, you can save yourself from a banana peel spin if you let off the gas and tap the brake. You'll see a ♪ if you've done it correctly.

The ghoat doesn't take CPU items into consideration. It is purely random what you get. The ghost works like you say in VS though.
