CES got together back in '04: They have, Capture Enemy Soldiers (2004), Codename; Irongiant (2008), The Playground (2009), each of them have mixtapes under strange, Godemis: The Deevil, and Ubiquitous: Matter Dont Money, 1 EP: 13 (2012), And then the albums Constant Energy Struggles coming out March 26th
Ubi was the freshest on the track, Godemis came hard as hell, metaphors galore. Kali had to of made you chuckle. Tech beasted up too. But in ways many are blind to. Rap has multiple facets that determine it. It could be rhyme/alliteration, speed, cadence, flow-styles, emotion, vocabulary, metaphors, wordplay, etc. Tech puts emphasis on his ability to flip styles so effortlessly in this song, yet sound seamless, showing his mastery over that specific aspect of rap.
Tech came from the 2nd poorest community in KCMO and worked his way up. He was decently making money when he started strange and now he is in the top 20 most payed artists in hip-hop.
They had at least one joint (I could be wrong, but I know for sure it's 1) before signing to Strange. They both have 1 single project out under Strange, and now going to be 2 EP's together as Ces Cru under Strange Music.
I'm not entirely versed in the terms of Music, but I believe he was rapping on the Up/Downbeat. I've practiced so many variations of flows and rhythmic patterns, and before that sang for over a decade, that I'm sure I'd recognize instantly or very soon if someone was off beat.
Savagry haha, it's all good. i think 'rip your heart out' was promoted a bit stronger (possibly with both strange&funk volume having obvious interest in the matter), but yeah....almost every strange artist (most definitely ces cru included!) is worth a good god damn listen. :)
This song slaps hard. The flows are crazy good
9 years later still Jammin' this CES CRU album. 602 PHX AZ.
best decision ever from tech to sign em, they have that fast unique flow that strange deserves!
0:19 Godemis
1:14 Ubiquitous
1:58 Krizz Kaliko
2:53 Tech N9ne
0:00 Strange Music

Krizz really likes to make his voice deep and then high. And he likes to use his "Aha" laugh sound effect thing in a lot of his songs and features.
It's like a Really Fast Atlive but it's coming from The same Guy...lol
I absolutely love Ubi's verse.
I went to one of their concerts last night, it was great
the way tech approached this beat is cosmic
Tech came from the 2nd poorest community in KCMO and worked his way up. He was decently making money when he started strange and now he is in the top 20 most payed artists in hip-hop.
