I've been with Forward since before covid, and i love it 😊 No, they don't take insurance, it's a monthly membership fee. You'll still want to keep your insurance to help with things that Forward would have to refer to other for such as, MRIs, physical therapy, mental health. That being said, any visit you have (and there's no limit!), isn't just seeing a doctor, but because every Dr they have is SO compassionate and caring and gives you the time that YOU need (they LISTEN! 😄), I usually feel like I've just left a therapist's office lol. I absolutely love my Forward team 😄

How does the information transfer of all the Patient-Data work in the backend?
Let‘s say after a checkup it turns out I need surgery. How will all accrued data about my health be passed on to the hospital? Or is it that all data that was gathered at Forward, will only be used within this system?
All in all great and innovative approach. I wonder when the conceptual idea of this can be realized in Germany.

I found out that the base visit does not look at all as what is being advertised. Despite my request to see doctor at the forward center (to take advantage of all that advanced technology), I found out that the only way I can "see" the doctor is through the webcam on my computer. The in-person visits are not available and visit recorded by the care team as in-house visit is in reality a visit via web cam.

I have a feeling that many offices with these amazing technology devices, will not accept patiences who can not pay out of pocket nor those with fed/state insurances such as: Medicaid.

That is so cool. Today’s doctors offices I feel like they are so outdated still. They are still not in the 21st century. Not only that, some doctors offices have doctors that are super dramatic for no reason. Some even just under react. And when you look at the atmosphere, it’s just an office. That’s it. It’s just a plain office. And when they do the bloodwork, they put pressure on you to look for the van and then they put it in thinking that the vein wasn’t responsive and that the doctor lost it and then they have to constantly poke around, when in reality it is there. Like just put the needle in for crying out loud. And then, not to mention, the results can take days, if not weeks or even months. Just to get your results. Think about the inefficiency that comes with it. It’s so old school. Like I mentioned think about the inefficiency that comes with the traditional way. Why is that, when you can just use technology and then just put in the needle and weight minutes just to get your results instead of waiting days or weeks or months and then he wouldn’t be allowed to make an appointment to see the doctor until after you get your lab results. Traditional doctors won’t let you in unless you have labs. I find that to be absurd. Sometimes even at the appointment they all surprise you and say “you’re going to do your bloodwork today before you go to your car”. And you still have to call on a phone and get a hold of a receptionist in 2022 just to make an appointment and sometimes they can be backed up. And then you still have to walk up to a reception desk and then just wait a long time to be called it. Why is that when you can just make an appointment from an app or website and just get in your car and just sign in on a touchscreen display off and then just do what you Gotta do. And one more thing, doctors offices still have those old fashion manual scales and measurements where are you still have to have a nurse move some thing to measure your weight and then you have to get off and then have the nurse check your height with a traditional ruler. Then the doctor has to check your heart rate and temperature and pulse once you see him or her. Why is that when you can just do it all on one machine before you see the doctor. That makes it so much more efficient. And white wait until something goes wrong to go see a doctor when you can just jump on an app on your phone and just chat with somebody when you’re at home.

Blood work in 20 minutes? Seems like they are only testing for the 4-6 obvious stats. How about scanning for cancer proteins? That would be worth something. No mention of a urine sample? Do they do that? That first exam station looks I-ROBOT but all it does is measure blood 02, pulse, weight and temperature? Those are done at every urgent care center when you walk in. Why a fancy station to do what can be done when they take your blood pressure? This just looks like a walk-in version of a smart watch or shiny version of a dr. visit. I'm not saying this is not a good service but I don't see how it serves any more purpose than a dr. visit, except for the data tracking which there are plenty of other ways to manage. I do like the integration of the "holistic" approach which every medical service should do. But, how about a CT scan of your body to look inside, or an ultrasound of your femoral artery? Again, I am not putting this service down, anything that makes people aware of their conditioning is good. But I don't see much more going on here than can be achieved at home or with a standard blood draw from your primary. Which is worth saying, this should not substitute for your primary. just my 2 sense!

Many primary care doctors went to subpar med schools. So, having machines substitute for them is going to be much better. Second, a CT scan releases so much radiation that it is equivalent to standing at the edge of Hiroshima Japan in 1945. Finally, the realt value here is quick speed and more time with you doctor. Primary care often means waiting weeks to see someone with a carribean MD.

I heard U can now join for $99 dollars. but someone did & has not gotten any care for sometime. She should ask for her money back until they have their act together to really offer go as often as U wish to see a doctor there. So far they don't seem to b quite read to give what they offer. several people joined & R now pissed off because they haven't gotten the care they say they have.
Also any good phlebotomist doesn't need to use anything special to find a good vein.
They can find it easily & you can tell them which veins work well for taking your blood. I always tell them certain veins R roll away & can't get stuck easily. Maybe 5 tries. I don't want to get stuck 5 times so I tell them which veins work the best in my hand..
They need to do more to have their facility really up to parr to help people as often as they wish to go there.

    • @charlenevinson8901
      @charlenevinson8901 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

As a certified and excellent phlebotomist- sometimes veins can be tricky no matter WHAT a pt tells you. You can have the most protruding veins yet due to lack of hydration (water- most pts think fasting means no water 🤦🏾‍♀️when in fact- you should be adviced to drink water WHILE fasting before labs), but when a PBT sticks you- your vein make go flatter than a tire- or roll. I hate having to stick a pt more than once honestly- so if a pt tells me that they are a “hard stick”, or they haven’t kept hydrated prior- I’d love to have a trans illumination device to help find the perfect vein so that I won’t hv to stick repeatedly causing a pt to become uneasy, anxious, frustrated, or annoyed. A little help does not hurt for guidance making my job all the more easier and my patient more comfortable and assured.

Forward is not Medicare certified. So if you are senior citizen on Medicare and currently pay $502 every month for Medicare services, none of Forward services would be paid for by Medicare. Also since they are not certified by medicare, prescription drugs recommended by Forward are not paid for Medicare Plan D, regardless of how much you are paying for Plan D. My recommendation - get certified by medicare, so then senior citizens would be able to use your services.

Some of it is, probably. But Covid has caused tech to advance (which is good) as let's be real - people don't change unless they HAVE to. We've been seeing doctors in the same way for DECADES, so it probably is time we move forward. Not having to wait in waiting rooms filled with other sick people is a plus. Having a screen on the wall where you can see all of the info your doctor sees is a plus. That imager that finds your veins - yeah, plus. So while it's a bit "Gucci", there are some advancements in here we do need.

I like the fact that they focus on preventative measures. We’ve needed this forever. So many folks go to a doctor after the fact. But even worse is that they expect the doctor to repair them, usually after treating their own body so terribly for years. We need more preventative healthcare being taught to everyone. Learning preventative measures for one’s health cuts back on needing future medical care. Nowadays the medical field basically makes money off of us being sick. How bout we prevent that? This makes more sense.

@@sessarichard $149 with zero deductible for procedures, hospitalizations, etc. You must not have health insurance if you think this is a reality. Forward is not healthcare insurance. It's an add-on for doctor visits, and mostly well visits. But it doesn't provide the same services for specialists. And it doesn't cover you for hospitalizations, drugs, etc.. You have no idea how Forward works. Clearly I know more than you will ever know.

@@sessarichard You need to read more. You thought that you can get healthcare for $149/mo. You clearly are not paying for your healthcare, or you have none.
I said what was on my mind. And that is that we need to ask why are we the only industrialized national without universal healthcare.
      Don't a dummy.

@@sessarichard And btw, it's required by law to have healthcare insurance. You're mandated to get health ins or pay a tax penalty at the end of the year. It sounds like you're unemployed and probably on medicaid.
