- I thought you'd like a look at this custom 1950 Mercury Coupe custom show car. This Mercury underwent a complete and professional restoration in 2008 and has only been driven 2,000 miles since. It is covered in Chrysler Cool Vanilla paint that gives it a classic look. Complementing the paint is just enough chrome to set this car off - chromed bumpers, mirrors, twin spotlights, headlight rings, Laker pipes, and a customized '54 Chevy grill with extra teeth. The entire interior is covered in bright red, including the carpet, headliner, dash, and Ultra Leather seats. Custom touches to the outside include a 2 1/2" chopped top, shaved door handles, electric and manual emergency access to the doors, electric trunk lid, and '59 Cadillac tail lights. Under the hood is a 5.7L LT1 V8 engine borrowed from a Corvette and a new automatic GM transmission. Other features include AM/FM/CD radio, Vintage Air, Fat Man suspension, rear air bags to adjust the ride height, a new radiator with a self-contained fan system, built in battery charger, rack and pinion power steering, power brakes, power seats, power door locks, power windows, tilt steering wheel, seat belts, wide white wall radial tires, and 15" wheels with Dodge Lancer hub caps. Normally I don't care for cars that are all chopped up, but this ones very tastefully done!

Wow!! That is a Beauty. But $109,000 is a little steep, I think. I'd say it's better priced around the $75,000 - $85,000 range.

@FatGuyWithAKatana I agree, I thought the Mercury trim on the engine was going a little too far.
A well-worked car, beautiful interior, retains original details, but the blind is a hybrid of chevy 54 with others and it does not fit well, the original blind is very beautiful, the same happens with the stops, the originals are more beautiful than those that They placed it, another thing they lacked was the chrome on the front and rear windows

why do people chop the door handle?
I guess if you are into chopped and hacked up cars it would be ok. Not my style. Just give me a Merc or the Vette and be done with it. The one sitting beside it was much better.
