I've been a Purple Belt since 2019 and also moved out to California to train. I will be bringing Gi Rolling/Sparring Video Breakdowns to the channel on a regular basis so stay tuned for more! I'm always looking to improve and what better way to do that than to post my rolls on the internet for people to watch and dissect. What could go wrong? lol
So this roll was pretty fun because Black Belt Mike is very aggressive and has an amazing standup and guard game. This Purple Belt v Black Belt roll focuses on how to standup and work takedowns from the feet and just overall how powerful working takedowns into your game can be. I wanted to post this Purple Belt v Black Belt Standup Sparring video to show the effectiveness of takedowns and the difference in skill. Mike hits some of the craziest takedown setups I've seen in a very long time. I also really enjoy narrated jiu-jitsu videos where you can follow my train of thought during the rolling/sparring.
This is also the last Purple Belt video that will be on the channel! I was promoted to Brown Belt back towards the end of June but still had a bunch of Purple Belt content to upload and we have finally come to the end of that! Super excited to see what is in store at Brown Belt!
