My son received a full college scholarship in music for his vocal performances, he just finished his third year. I got him to listen to this performance of Dany singing and he said the same thing you said. He said there are several parts to this song that are incredibly difficult, and Dany did a very good job. He is familiar with the song and said that Dany's vocals on this cover were impressive. I don't know much about the technicalities of vocal performances, but I do know that I love Dany's covers of everything she does.
When Barbara Streisand was young, she blew everyone’s mind because she could sing anything and just nail it. Dany is like that. She can sing any type of song now with virtuosity.

Dany is a huge lover of vocals as well. She just loves singing. (& a big Billie fan so I’m sure she knows this song inside and out). Have listened to this a few other times and was just blown away by her vocal talent. First off I really love the melody in this song. Really great song writing by Billie Eilish and her brother. Dany just slays this. Absolutely stunning!
Great insite on this one. Please keep the Dany videos coming. Every one of the Dany midnight shows are excellent and have better quality than this. I recommend checking out her Cavetown - Home cover. It has an incredibly hard falsetto chorus that she hits perfectly every time while playing guitar of course.
Like your insights. But with Dany's *"My Future"* & Pau's *"Creep".* The only takeaway that we had with two dynamic women who clearly loves to sing. On an instrument they both clearly knows how to play. That they are so chilled they can go all out with their covers. They just had fun. Nothing more than that.
We have been privileged to watch these girls from the time they were children. They were prodigies, but prodigies usually fade or burn out. The Warning have just kept growing and developing into incredibly powerful musicians. Having each other to fall back on must give them so much confidence that they can do anything. It's wonderful to behold. Thank you for continuing to feature them.

For me, as with most of the covers The Warning have done, I had not heard the original song, so The Warning's version is the way the song "should" be. I may yet check it out. Take their cover of Metallica's "Atlas Rise", for instance. The first time I ever heard the song, was their cover of it from The Warning Cave, and then I went and saw them do it live, at The Whisky a GoGo. It was nothing short of breathtaking! I decided to check out the original and, frankly, I couldn't get through the whole song. It was tedious, boring, and, seemed to be trying too hard to be epic, both technically and melodically. I do like much of the Metallica I've heard, but "Atlas Rise" will always be a The Warning song to me. Metallica's version is a drag.
